Melinda Byrne

Melinda Byrne brings invaluable insights and versatility to Key Realty, where she has an extensive history working with both buyers and sellers. Melinda is an award-winning REALTOR® and a designated Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®). She’s the chair of the Professional Standards Committee and an ethics advocate for the Contra Costa Association of REALTORS®, a community that is dear to Melinda’s heart.

Melinda was born and raised in Concord, California, where she developed a profound appreciation for home construction and the real estate process from her father, a local contractor. Melinda remains in the family home that was built by her father in the late 1940s; she understands the importance of being connected to the community she serves.

Despite an initial interest in real estate, Melinda took a detour to the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied English and later spent years teaching at the secondary school level. Melinda considers her background in education to be relevant to real estate as she effectively walks clients through the process from start to finish. She is a strong believer in a proactive approach to transactions and clear, consistent communication with her clients throughout them. Melinda utilizes this strong communication for third-party services as well, working closely with home inspectors, stagers, contractors, and brokers alike to protect her client's best interests. Her clients appreciate the effort: 95% of Melinda’s clientele are either repeated clients or referrals.

Melinda finds incredible joy in assisting clients in attaining the home of their dreams. She recalls with fondness the excitement of buying her first home as well as the security and happiness it provided. Her goal is to help everyone in California experience the same proud feeling of becoming a homebuyer for the first or umpteenth time.
