About Melissa

Hi my name is Melissa Carter and I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC. My dad is a retired Marine and I have been married to my Marine for 14 years. I graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1997. My husband is a White Oak graduate he and I married in 2000 and began our journey in the Corps. Since then we have lived in St. Louis, MO, Kansas City, MO and Ballston Spa, NY. We finally planted our roots back home in Jacksonville, NC. We have six beautiful children: Hunter, 13, Lillian 8, Ethan 6, Ryan 5, Jon 5 and Mason 4. They keep us on our toes. My journey in life has brought me home to be with my extended family and community. As a parent of six children I understand the stress that comes with moving and making the best decisions for the family. I am a determined individual and take pride in my honesty and integrity.
