After helping her husband run his residential home construction business for 30+ years and raising their two children, Melissa wanted to become involved in the real estate process in a more satisfying way by working directly with buyers and sellers. She started her career at Keller Williams Coastal Realty and then went on to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Portsmouth before deciding to get her Brokers license and open her own company in 2012.
Melissa helps her husband in the day-to-day planning and development of his new construction business which includes planning and developing subdivisions, road building and the building of his new construction homes. She is involved in the permitting and inspection process with town and city officials as well as selecting home plans, finishes such as siding colors, interior trim, flooring, cabinetry, counter tops, paint colors, etc. She understands every aspect of home construction from the groundbreaking through to completion. She has developed great relationships with her real estate colleagues, lenders, title companies, closing agencies, appraisers, and home inspectors so that they can work together as a team to help you through a stress free, seamless home purchase or home sale.
In addition to helping sellers, Melissa also loves accompanying buyers on their search to find the home of their dreams and walking them through the process until they have the keys to their new home in their hands. She has successfully strategized and negotiated several multiple offer situations during this hot sellers’ market for her buyers; one where the seller had received 13+ offers. Melissa’s favorite part of this business is the lasting friendships she makes along the way.
She and her husband have also designed, built from the ground up, lived in and sold several houses of their own so Melissa completely understands the process and stress involved with timing and planning a move while trying to sell your home.
Melissa is a lifelong resident of the Seacoast of New Hampshire having grown up in Portsmouth. She has and continues to volunteer her time as an Inspector of the Elections in her community for the last six years. In her free time, she loves traveling, spending time with her husband and their two grown children, reading, skiing in the winter and going to the beach in the summer. She is a member of the Seacoast Board of REALTORS, the National Association of REALTORS, the NH Association of REALTORS and Northern New England Real Estate Network.
