We tried for 5 or 6 months to sell our home 'for sale by owner' and had some response but it always fell through. After months of stress and frustration from trying to handle it on our own and people either not showing up for a showing or going to the bank and not being able to get a loan, Melissa Strickland reached out to us through email. We set up an appointment and met with her within a few days. From the very beginning she was so sweet and great to work with and very accommodating to our schedules. Within the first 30 days of listing our home with Melissa, we had a FULL ASKING PRICE OFFER on our home! I wouldn't even recommend selling by owner after the fantastic experience we had listing with a Realtor like Melissa Strickland! When I decided to sell my house , I asked my former neighbor what agent he used and if he would recommend them. That is how I was fortunate enough to find Melissa Stickland out of the many real estate agents in Houston county. Being a single woman who wanted to sell my home, I needed someone I could trust to guide me and answer all my off the wall questions. Melissa has done an awesome job and I have complete confidence in her. From the moment I met her, I knew I had made the best possible choice for me. She hit the ground running by taking lots of pictures and getting my house out there for potential buyers to see. She kept me posted when my house was being shown which was very important to me. We received an offer within 5 days of my house being listed and I know without a doubt that Melissa deserves the credit for that. After living five very happy years in Byron, Georgia, while my husband was stationed at Robins AFB, we decided to keep our home as a rental property when we got orders to another state. Five years later our renters moved out. We decided long-distance property management simply wasn't our thing, and decided to sell the house. On the recommendation of a friend, we contacted Exit Success Realty, who put us in touch with Melissa Strickland as our agent. Little did any of us know about the neglect and damage our renters had done to our property, and unfortunately, Melissa got way more than she bargained for! Living long-distance, it was much more difficult for us to get the home ready to list. Without Melissa and her constant help, it would have been near impossible. Without complaint, she served as a coordinator and contact person for all the contractors, cleaning companies, and landscape people that had to come in and do work on our house. She kept us up to date on progress, and served as a cheerleader of sorts when we were discouraged about the work that had to be done. Once finished and show-ready, it took her no time at all to line up showings and prospective buyers. We received more than one offer, and once we accepted one, the closing went off --- again, we were long distance --- without any problems whatsoever. Melissa was prompt and reliable in her contact with us. She was trustworthy about the work that was done and my husband and I felt immense relief to know we had someone on our side during this whole process. While selling a home long-distance at any time can be complicated, and having work done on a home long-distance is also difficult, it was a HUGE help to us to have her working with us. We would not hesitate to use Melissa again in any real estate transaction ...... thank you, Melissa, for sticking with us until the job was done!! Much appreciation, Blaine and Kristie Escoe
