Michael Corum recently helped me in the process of finding a perfect home for my family. What was expected to be a frustrating experience turned out to be a lot easier than I ever thought. He was amazing and went above and beyond in every aspect. He took the time to find us the perfect rental property and was present during every single walk through. He even pointed out imperfections in the homes we were looking at that we might not have noticed otherwise. It’s rare to work with someone so open and honest and we truly felt we could trust him. He took it one step further and made us aware of the parking situation and the HOA rules and regulations as well. On the one occasion he was out of town for another showing, he made sure I had representation and someone to work with for the short time he was unavailable. Michael was an amazing agent to have on our side and anyone would be lucky to work with him for their home buying or rental needs!

In February, 2021, I put my condo, located in Oak Hill/ Herndon, on the market, as I retired from my job and was moving out of state. My son recommended Michael Corum as a realtor. My son has many friends, including his girlfriend, who have used Michael to sell their houses and highly recommended him.

As I was already living out of state, Michael and I had an introductory phone call to get acquainted. He is very personable and extremely knowledgeable with sales; and made a great first impression. I could tell that he had worked for quite a few years to be so confident…as it turned out, Michael has been in the business, and very successfully, since he graduated from high school. He is totally on top of the market, he is enthusiastic, he knows the area as he was raised here, and he knows what works and what to expect. We met at the end of December when I was in the area visiting my kids for the holidays. We walked through my condo and he pointed out details that needed attention. He gave me choices for the sale regarding when to list it(after the holidays), asking price, open house; and then gave me his advice when I deferred to his expertise. He checked with our progress in making the few improvements and kept in close contact with me and my son, to keep us updated on progress.

Basically, Michael advised and I agreed, as this was the first time I had sold a home. It was definitely to my advantage to follow his suggestions because they all were beneficial. He gave me a plan and strategy, and his expectations of how everything would work out. Everything transpired exactly as Michael predicted…he definitely knows his stuff in real estate!

My condo sold very quickly, and above the asking price. Michael made the process as painless as possible. My decision to hire Michael was an excellent choice; I would highly recommend him and would use him again with no hesitation. He goes the extra mile to serve his clients.

Mike is hands down the best agent in the DMV. From the beginning he treated my wife and I like family. He was always available at any hour to advise us on the numerous questions we had. What separates Mike is he's not an agent that just wants to make a commission off his clients and call it a day. He genuinely looks after you and only advises you do something if it makes the utmost sense. He offers excellent advice and has a keen eye for what might need fixing in a house. Mike is also a very skilled negotiator and works diligently to ensure his clients get the best terms and price for their home. Furthermore, even after we purchased our home with Mike, he has stayed in contact to ensure we took care of certain things we'd previously discussed and offered to help anywhere he could. I can't endorse Mike enough and would encourage anyone looking for an agent to reach out. You'll work with the best.

Michael navigated me, as a first time home buyer, fluidly through a very tough sellers market amidst the current real estate environment. Not only was professionalism and relationship to truly understand my situation and requests a top priority to him throughout the entire process, but safety measures of each interaction that took place along the way. As a veteran, we rely on trust, and I quickly chose to trust his clearly seasoned advice resulting in buying the home of my dreams with 6-8 bids on average for a home. Communication and subject matter expertise was just one of the many highlights experienced.
