Alison helped my husband and I during our relocation from New York to DC and was so incredibly efficient with the entire process. It's always difficult to shop for homes when you're not in the area (and during a pandemic), but she was flexible and innovative to find outside-the-box solutions.

We're pretty independent shoppers when it came to looking for homes and Alison was great at letting us explore on our own and come to her when we found things of interest. I really appreciated her ability to read her clients and tailor her service to their needs.

We worked with Michael for the purchase of our first home and it was a great experience. Michael is not only highly knowledgeable about the entire process and is experienced in the DMV market, but he is also honest, sincere, and accessible. His sense of humor is an added bonus that makes a process that can sometimes be quite stressful way more fun. We felt supported, guided, and taken care of.

Jared assisted us throughout the closing process and was always on top of what had to be done, providing us with clear directions- he was nice and patient throughout.

My wife and I were looking for a tenant to lease to, and Alison (from The Fowler Group & Compass Real Estate) was instrumental in finding us a multi-year lease. We can write a review for an hour on how happy we are with Alison, but want to get to the point. Alison was very knowledgeable and guided us from the start (e.g., taking pictures of the place, putting together the ad, advertising the place in different mediums, pricing it right, screening the various applications etc) to finish (e.g., putting together lease agreement, settlement, setting up accounts etc), and was very kind and patient in case we had questions. We felt that we could call Alison at anytime if we had questions. Alison went the extra mile for us, and we found a tenant willing to lease for a few years. Thank you Alison! Finding this multi-year lease was critical for us, and we cannot thank Alison (from The Fowler Group & Compass Real Estate) enough for making it happen. Michael Fowler is incredible. He is the most patient and understanding individual, and he brings those traits with him in all of his professional interactions. He is extremely knowledgeable about the market and about different strategies to attain each client’s goals. He also has a great respect for each client’s preferences/priorities and doesn’t try to pressure clients into a direction that doesn’t meet those particular preferences/priorities. Michael is a fantastic realtor and we feel lucky to have found him. He was incredibly patient with us - taking us to what felt like hundreds of houses and letting us get a feel for the market and different neighborhoods, but without ever being pushy or trying to persuade us into going for houses that weren’t perfect. When it came to making the offer and buying our house, he was there at every step, pushing it through and available to answer any of our questions at any time. He went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed - from recommending movers and brokers, to having architects come by to check on potential renovations, to arranging for someone to water the plants in our rental while we were out of town. He made the whole thing as enjoyable as possible and we feel like we made a friend in the process.

Michael Fowler cares about his clients. This is not just a business for him. Taking the time to learn about a buyer, especially a buyer with special needs/apprehensions, is Michael’s speciality. Making sure that all the people with whom he works feel comfortable and secure is no small feat, but Michael achieves this status with not only a smile, but sincerity of the heart. Michael Fowler does not just help someone buy a residence. He helps the buyer make a home by ensuring individualized comfort levels are met from the get go. Truly, he is a remarkable young man, and second to none as a real estate agent. I know from personal experience. Somehow he found a property match for me, a retired teacher, so I could relocate closer to my children after many years of distance. I guess that’s it. Michael bridges the distance.

What a joy Michael is. I was a first time home buyer when I worked with Michael, and that's terrifying and overwhelming. But Michael was so patient and knowledgeable that he put me at ease every step of the way. And we had fun while doing it! As a first time home buyer, Michael was very patient, knowledgeable and gave me great advice throughout the home buying process, including making sure I knew about all benefits and programs available to first time buyers in DC. I really felt that any concerns I had throughout the process were handled with care and attention.
Alison was very prompt in answering any questions I had about the various documents, inspection timelines, etc. I hadn’t met Alison in person until the day of final walkthrough and closing. She stepped in for Michael who was out of town. Because of the constant communication, I felt like I already knew her. Just an example of the personalized service the Fowler team gives to their clients.

I was referred to Michael Fowler through a friend who wasn’t a client of Michael’s, but just really liked him as a human being. I can’t express how important that is in a relationship with a realtor. Buying property is stressful, terrifying and exhilarating and you want to have someone in your corner who goes on that journey with you. Michael became that person for me as he helped me navigate every step of the process. He practically held my hand at closing. I asked him if it’s normal for a realtor to be at a closing. He said, “No, not really!” and we had a good laugh. I’m sure I stressed him out and made him want to dump me as a client, but he never showed it.
I’m happy with my purchase and I’m happy to now call Michael Fowler my friend.
I can’t recommend him enough.

We bought our first ever home with Michael as our realtor in July 2017. He was exceptional. We actually had a different realtor prior to him, attempted 4 bids on 4 different houses and weren't able to secure anything. We were placing bids at 20-30-40 thousand above asking price and our old realtor couldn't get anything done.
In steps Michael- and boom! We are in escrow. Not only was our bid accepted, we put in the next bid at asking price, and he was able to negotiate the seller DOWN another $7,500!!!! I can't believe how amazing he was. He found properties that weren't yet on the market and made sure we were the first to see them. He met us at showings, wherever they were, even fighting D.C. traffic I know that we would not be homeowners today without him. I can't stress that enough, he was by far the best we could have asked for! If I could make one recommendation in the home buying process it'd be to make sure you have Michael standing next to you!
