About Michael

Real estate runs in Mike’s blood. His father, Bill Hines, is a Land Developer and his mother, Marilyn Hines, is a Realtor. Mike’s earliest memories include going to job sites with his Dad and shoveling curbs, weed whipping, and learning to interpret engineering drawings.

He officially entered into Real Estate in 2007 after graduating from Miami University with a degree in Urban & Regional Planning. During the Recession, he went back to school and earned his MBA at UC Lindner Center of Business and traveled to South Africa to experience a different real estate market. Since then, Mike, along with his father Bill Hines, and their incredible team swiftly grew Build Collective to become the top new construction and real estate advising resources in the City. Since their 2021 Merger with the Oyler Group to create Oyler Hines, Mike, Scott and the team have been relentlessly focused on creating a team of top tier experts that are the best at what they do to help our clients with ALL their needs.

Mike loves to travel and spend time with his family. He has three kids, Poppy, William, & Sophie. On any given day, if he is not out touring a job site or wearing his kids out, you will find him letting off a little steam in the gym, reading or listening to some obscure podcast or book….or maybe heading to Busken to grab a kettle donut with the kids!
