His knowledge of the city of Richmond and his personal perspective as a homeowner and parent were invaluable to navigating a highly competitive market. We communicated often and easily, and we were able to look at many great houses in several neighborhoods during our search. We learned a ton during the process. In the end, Michael found an unlisted off-market house through his professional connections, leading to the purchase of our dream home in The Fan. We highly recommend Michael!

Michael is an amazing realtor. He went far above and beyond to help us move up to the Richmond area from Florida. Before we even got here he helped us find an apartment to stay in while we searched for our home. The man is a saint - he ended up showing us about 20 houses over the course of a few months, and we always had at least 3 of our 4 kids in tow. Michael is caring, professional, so so so knowledgeable about the area, and just an incredible human helping people find their dream homes. You can tell he loves what he does. Working with Michael was the very best decision we made in making the big move up here.

He was thoughtful and very communicative whenever I needed something or to talk me off a ledge as that can be needed when selling a home. He brought qualified buyers and helped us get the number we needed. If I were to ever buy or sell a home in Richmond or Virginia again I would call him. I was referred to Michael by a friend, and I would gladly refer him to anyone looking to buy a house in the Richmond and surrounding area. My experience couldn't have been any better (not exaggerating). As a first time home-buyer, I had a lot of questions and he walked me through the process slowly and made it seem easy despite the many steps the process took. We only spent 1 day looking at houses in person. We negotiated a price cut and the house appraised for more than $20,000 from what we paid. Could not believe the eye Michael has for listening to my obscure preferences and finding the best home that checked every box.

Michael helped us with an out of state move during the pandemic, he was incredible through the whole process which was extremely intimidating for first time home buyers. He provided us with everything we would need to know and patiently went through the whole process with us. He was great at coming up with competitive strategies in this wild market and helped us with FaceTime tours since we couldn’t be in there in person for a lot of it.

I don’t think we would have ended up in the fantastic location and house without Michael’s help and experience.

I would do everything all over again the same way with Michael, he was great from the first phone call to signing at closing. Will be recommending him to any and all folks in the Richmond area and beyond.

Michael is the BEST, hands down. My husband and I recently bought our first home together, and there was no doubt in our minds about working with Michael. He knows Richmond better than anyone I know, listened to our wants and needs, provided us with great options and advised us every step of the way and we landed the home of our dreams! Michael is a family friend of my childhood friend, and as such was a natural choice when I decided the time had come to finally buy a home. I remember thinking, he's probably got a million clients already and the market is so crazy right now, he's likely not even taking on new business. But after sending him a quick email explaining my situation and goals, I got a response from him within 30 minutes saying he'd love to work with me. That sort of response set the tone for the rest of our working relationship as Michael can easily be characterized as prompt, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable.
After only a few hours and a couple of home tours with Michael, it was clear he already knew exactly what I needed in a home and every walkthrough from then on was catered specifically to my goals. After touring some 15+ houses in less than 2 weeks, working at all hours of the day to make sure I was seeing the homes I needed to see, we finally found a gem and got it for a great price - I couldn't possibly be happier. The closing process was seamless and he was there at all hours to assist with any of the details that a first time buyer like myself just simply has no experience with.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Michael to anyone looking for a smooth and professional buying (or selling) experience, and if you're located in the Richmond metro area, there's no better choice than him.

My husband and I moved back to Midlothian recently from Boston and wanted to buy our first house. We tried on our own to visit houses and meet with random realtors, but no one seemed to be very knowledgeable about the houses we were looking at, never on time, and very pushy. I reached out to Michael, who from day one walked us through every detail of the buying process and the reality of the current market. Michael showed us 23 houses in less than 30 days, and at each house, he was very honest and thorough about the good and bad that the houses presented but never trying to push us to make a decision. After we lost three houses, he continued helping us with enthusiasm and determination to find what we were looking for. His honesty and transparency were crucial for us and exactly what we needed while making such an important decision. Michael’s guidance made this process easier and less stressful because we knew he had our best interests in mind and was part of our team. I wanted to work with michael as soon as I met him because of his earnest desire to help and because of his communication skills... and I just really liked him right away. It’s actually important because we ended up working with him for a long time due to our exacting requirements, tight budget, and a competitive market. He magically never got frustrated with us and showed us dozens of houses. An agent before had told us that we need to increase our budget if we wanted to find something that fit our specifications, but Michael encouraged us. When we finally saw something we liked he met us there that same day and had our offer in that night. My husband and I are first-time buyers who just moved to the Richmond area. Because we are both starting new jobs, we weren't sure whether to rent or buy, and were hesitant to engage an agent. Despite knowing we might drag our feet, Michael was more than willing to show us around the city and help us begin our search. With Michael's help, we wound up buying after having seen only a few houses.

Michael is very knowledgeable about the city and surrounding areas.
Although my husband grew up around Richmond, Michael showed us neighborhoods that my husband didn't know about or hadn't considered, which helped open up our options. Michael was also quick to answer the long list of questions we had, whether they were about neighborhoods, what we should look for in a house, how to put together our offer, negotiating, how the process would proceed, etc. If he didn't have an immediate answer, he would find one quickly - he clearly has a great network through his brokerage and experience with the city. And if we had a question better suited for a lender, inspector, or other professional, Michael had connections who could give us an answer.

Michael was a pleasure to work with at each step of the house-buying process. But he didn't stop there. Knowing that we had some work to do on our new home, Michael connected us with contractors, etc. who had done good work for his past clients.

We would certainly recommend Michael and would work with him again.

Where do I even start? From start to finish, working with Michael when buying our home was nothing but EASE. We were first-time buyers and everything was new territory. Michael went above and beyond to explain every situation thoroughly so we were always on the same page.
