Michael Schaffer brings over 20 years of client representation and negotiation experience to real estate, providing clients with a distinct edge in their transactions. Passionate about his clients' interests, Michael offers personalized service from consultation to closing and beyond.
His real estate career began during the foreclosure crisis, working with a group of investors to acquire and renovate single-family homes and condos. Over time, he expanded his focus to representing clients in both personal and investment real estate deals, using his expertise in client representation and negotiation. His philosophy is rooted in his background in the film and television industry, where client service and effective negotiation were key to success.
After earning his MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, Michael joined International Creative Management (ICM), one of Hollywood’s top talent agencies. He quickly rose to the rank of Agent, representing screenwriters, producers, and rights holders in securing projects and negotiating high-stakes deals with major studios and independent producers.
Now, as part of the Schaffer Kilty Group, Michael works alongside Kelli Kilty to deliver unparalleled service in real estate. Together, they combine sharp negotiation skills, extensive experience, and a love for Los Angeles to guide clients through every step of their real estate journey.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys offering unsolicited pop culture critiques and playing poker—often at the same time. Whether representing first-time homebuyers or clients purchasing luxury estates, Michael is committed to exceeding expectations and creating opportunities for every client.
