Why did I become a real estate professional?
*I have loved Real Estate since I was a little girl. My Mom and Stepfather were both in Real Estate. Back then, there was no computer MLS and they would bring home these black and white books filled locally listed homes for sale. I would lay on the living room floor, going through the Listing Books like a child reading the Cat in the Hat for the first time. I would commit the homes to memory, noting what was special to help the Sellers sell their homes and imagine the Buyers that I could bring in to love this wonderful home. I think it was then that I knew that this wouldn’t be a career for me, it was a calling.
How long have I been in real estate?
*For as long as I can remember, I have been in some form of Real Estate. When I was a youngster, it was through my Mom and Stepdad. Then later in life, I took the reins to help Realtors in the back end of real estate - marketing, website design, transaction coordination, ad copy, etc. Before you know it, I took it to the next step and I was the Office Manager for three franchise offices. During that time, I was awarded Office Manager of the year for the whole state of Florida for that franchise. I was so proud! However, as much as that meant to me, I knew it was time to get the boots on the ground and start representing Buyers and Sellers. As soon as I made that change, I knew that I was right where I was supposed to be. There is an intrinsic value in helping someone and I love being able to do that through my love of the Real Estate market.
Where do I live?
*I live in the beautiful city of Port Orange, FL with my husband and our two fur babies - Zola and Rocky. We are just south of the World’s Most Famous Beach - Daytona Beach and just north of New Smyrna Beach. We are close to the ocean and the intercoastal and right in the center of this vibrant city. During our time living in Florida, we have visited everywhere from the Panhandle to Tampa to South Florida and Volusia County is where we decided to call home.
Something people are surprised to learn about me?
*My birthday is December 28th. When I was 25 years old, I gave birth to my second daughter Paige-Marie….on my birthday. Later that year, I found out that I was expecting my son…and his due date was…wait for it, December 28th! He came a few days early on December 24th. I brought him home in a stocking on Christmas Day to meet his two big sisters. My oldest daughter Sierra’s birthday is March 19 so she was the only one of my kiddos without a December birthday.
Additionally, I belong to a family of Real Estate Professionals. My Mom and Step Dad are Realtors. I am a Realtor in Florida and my oldest daughter Sierra is a Realtor in NYS. Therefore we currently have three generations of Realtors in the family.
