About Michelle
Gainesville is a vibrant and unique community of both permanent residents and students. As a resident for the last 35 years, Michelle explored most every corner of this beautiful city. In 1996, she moved into the downtown area and fell in love with the vintage and historic homes that surround Gainesville’s urban core.
Michelle hopes through this site is to help others uncover unique places to call home, whether short-term or as a permanent residence. With a strong background in sales, marketing and an eye for design, clients benefit from a well-rounded consultant on all aspects of buying, leasing, and selling real estate.
Over the last 20 years, Michelle has specialized in the acquisition, restoration, and management of historic properties in Gainesville and Orlando. Restoration projects include a full-scale restoration converting a single-family residence to a thriving commercial space that is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Restorations also include multiple Victorian properties, a Spanish bungalow and an historic Blanding home. As an investor and owner, Michelle understands the importance of a good return on an investment.
For sellers, Michelle can help stage your home. Using professional photography, open houses, mailings and featured listings on her website, Michelle’s goal is to reach prospective buyers in a meaningful way. For buyers, she listens carefully, searches diligently, and helps you find exactly the right place to call home. As a property manager, Michelle assesses your property, makes small changes to maximize your income and finds the right tenant to care for your investment. For tenants, Michelle provides well-maintained homes and is always personally responsive. Michelle’s in-depth knowledge of neighborhoods, homes, school districts, zoning and future growth allows her to offer advice on all levels of real estate in Gainesville.
After graduating in 1996 from the University of Florida with a degree in Public Relations, Michelle went on to a successful career in advertising. Initially working with various trade organizations, her advertising career evolved to working with real estate developers to market their properties nationally and internationally in a series of luxury lifestyle magazines. In 2007, Michelle decided to exclusively focus her energy on the local real estate market. Currently, she is a member of the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors, Florida Realtors and National Association of Realtors. Additionally, Michelle is also a member of the Duckpond Neighborhood Association, Northeast Neighbors, Pleasant Street Neighborhood Association and a board member of the Historic Preservation Board.
