It was an absolute joy to work with Mikaela to sell my house. To say she goes above and beyond to understand a client's needs and tune into the best possible sales outcome is an understatement.

She has a curated, tight knit group of contractors that can help with minor and major projects needing work before a sale and that saved me thousands of dollars.

She really cares about her work and it's important that she does right by each client. She's extremely organized and an excellent negotiator.

Mistakes were made by us all that could have been avoided had Mikaela had more experience. The sellers fooled us all. Now, She has the experience to know to call inspectors back if they ask to send in a robot. I recommend always sending a robot in the crawl space if the inspectors say to. It can save you thousands in the future. Mikaela went above and beyond to help us with giving contacts for contractors and legal advice after the deal was over.

Mikaela is a superstar! My husband and I embarked on looking for our first home in the middle of the pandemic and a wild housing market and she made the process so smooth! She was our cheerleader when needed and was also very realistic/mindful with us about our budget, locations and potential risks and red flags. She is so responsive and very knowledgeable of homes and what to look for. We really enjoyed working with her and you will too!

I heartily recommend Mikaela as a buyer’s agent, particularly for first-time homebuyers. From the get-go, she was well prepared and detail-oriented , and more than willing to take her time and explain each step of the home buying process to us. She was always available to take an evening or lunchtime call, especially when we started to hit snags with our repair schedule and had to renegotiate with the seller. She actually went above and beyond to negotiate a difficult-to-get early occupancy after our closing date pushed back [Corona Virus first shaking] so we could be in our new place by our deadline. My fiance and I cannot imagine a better first-time-buyers experience than what we got with Mikaela. She was organized, knowledgeable, communicative, and made what seemed like a complicated and daunting process totally doable! Her bubbly personality made for a fun and positive experience start-to-finish, from searching for our home to negotiating with the sellers. Though we never met them in person, the relationship that she fostered between us and the sellers could not have been better and made for a great start to our home-owning journey. As a millennial, I thought that my love of avocado toast would prevent me from owning even a run-down starter home, much less a dream home with a front porch and a backyard where I could have some raised garden beds and a couple of fruit trees. And in Portland, I thought I’d need to have at least a six figure salary before I could even think about it. Working with Mikaela opened my eyes to possibilities I’d had no idea existed. Not only did she alert me to a grant I qualified for (which covered a down payment and closing costs), she waited in line at 5:30am (outside, in December) for said grant with me and her other clients, bringing coffee and donuts. When the house hunting began with my unreasonable and high maintenance demands on a budget (front porch, backyard, 2+ bedrooms, in certain neighborhoods, “vibes”), she worked really hard not just to find houses which met my criteria, but to pin down what exactly it was I wanted and needed, and open my eyes to the potential in houses I wouldn’t have considered otherwise.

Ultimately, I did end up finding a home within my budget and within the grant timeline, which miraculously fit all of my dream criteria. Mikaela shepherded me through the nail biting offer and inspection process. I moved in just before the stay at home order came down, and Mikaela has continued to be super helpful through the pandemic, checking in on me, recommending plumbers, and even making a hardware store run for her clients and dropping me off a sweet care package with some pruning shears. She’s been a total joy to work with and has gone above and beyond every step of the way to make sure my needs are being met. I would recommend working with her to anyone looking to buy a home. She’s not just a real estate agent, she’s really more of a real estate angel.
