Mike Smith is Managing Director of NorthMarq’s Beverly Hills-based investment sales team serving the greater Los Angeles MSA. Smith specializes in private, sponsored and institutional capital clients, focusing on existing properties, portfolios and land, within all aspects of the multifamily space including market-rate, senior, and affordable properties. Smith and his team bring strong experience with "off-market" transactions, which are an easy place to collaborate when the client already exists on the mortgage banking/financing. Smith aims to provide his clientele with exceptional services and build strong client relationships by offering them knowledge and information to help them achieve their
investment goals.

Past Experience:
Prior to joining NorthMarq, Smith served as senior director at Berkadia for five years. He joined Berkadia after a successful 12-year career with Lee and Associates where he was a Principal in the multifamily division. Throughout his career Smith has successfully closed over 10,000 units of apartments and development land, totaling more than $1.5 billion. Smith is consistently recognized as one of Southern California’s top producing multifamily brokers. Previously Smith has been recognized by Real Estate Forum Magazine as a “40 Under 40” brokers to watch and an industry “Emerging Leader.”

Smith graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Mendoza College of Business.
