About Miranda

Miranda’s roots in real estate go back to the eighth grade, when her family moved to Austin from a small East Texas town so that she could attend St. Stephens School. Her mother, Teddy Kinney, a lifelong real estate investor, set out to learn the Austin real estate market through every means available: visiting open houses, looking at new construction, lake lots, acreage and all things related to real estate. Most of the time, Miranda accompanied her on these quests. Little did Miranda know then that she was sowing the seeds for a future career in real estate.

After earning a BA in Communications from St. Edwards University, Miranda worked as a college counselor in private technical schools. This work provided her the opportunity to help students find the programs that best suited their goals and to offer them guidance along the way. They came from every age group and every type of background, but they were all at pivotal moments in their lives when they were ready to make major changes.

Helping clients sell their homes or buy new ones brings her new opportunities to invest in other people’s goals and dreams and to help make them possible. Miranda has a unique ability to listen to what her clients are wanting to accomplish whether it is assisting them in finding a first home, family home, investment property or if they are downsizing. Miranda understands the Austin market, she knows Austin and the surrounding areas, and she is well connected throughout the real estate community.

When Miranda is not working with or for her clients, she lives in Northwest Hills with her husband Jason McKnight and her two young daughters. Miranda enjoys spending time with her family and friends and she loves this wonderful city and the life that it affords us all.
