A Charlotte native, Missy has witnessed Charlotte evolve over many years. She has 19+ years of real estate experience and has a strong passion for helping people transition to the Queen City. Missy has been known to go above and beyond for both buyer and seller clients. She especially loves helping seller clients with pre-listing prep work, staging, and improvements, taking a hands-on approach. She specializes in several in-demand neighborhoods, including Eastover, Cotswold, Myers Park, Dilworth, Elizabeth, Chantilly and the SouthPark area.
Missy graduated from Charlotte Latin School, where she then went on to attend UNC, Chapel Hill earning her degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Missy grew up surrounded by the real estate business in many forms. Her father, a commercial real estate developer in Charlotte, developed shopping centers, commercial business sites, neighborhoods, and built many custom homes. Her aunt is a successful Realtor in Rock Hill, SC. After three years of working in advertising and marketing, in Atlanta and Raleigh, she decided to return home to Charlotte, and pursue her career in residential real estate. A licensed broker since 2000, she joined Marilyn Hartley Realty in 2003, and remained on their team for eleven years before transferring to Dickens Mitchener in 2014.
She resides with her family in Myers Park, and is the proud mom to Lila, Virginia, and Thomas. She is active in volunteering at their school, Charlotte Latin, with one in lower, middle and upper school. She and her family belong to Myers Park Presbyterian Church and enjoy being involved in the youth programs. She has served as Co-chair for Pat’s Place Barbecue & Bluejeans (2011 and 2013), Charlotte Latin Alumni Governing Board Member (2010-2013), and a patron to the Homeowner’s Impact Fund (2020-2021). She is a member of the Duke Mansion Preservation Society.
