Nancy Coward is originally from Philadelphia and earned her B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science/Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. She worked in New York City for ten years as a Management Consultant but spent as much of her free time as possible vacationing in tropical destinations. When Nancy and her husband Tom visited Key West 25 years ago, they both knew they had found their island paradise and began investing in vacation rental properties. After a few years of absentee ownership, they decided to follow their dreams and move to Key West.
Nancy has bought, sold, and managed vacation rentals in Key West for over 20 years, working hands-on as an innkeeper, vacation rental property manager, and rental property owner. She recently decided to become a real estate agent to help clients live their dreams and find their perfect property in paradise. She believes her local contacts and experience and in all aspects of owning and running vacation rental properties will be invaluable to clients new to the business. She also owned one of the first businesses in the Florida Keys to be awarded Green Lodging Certification and can help clients save money and the environment with eco-friendly materials and practices.
As a long-time Key West resident, business owner, and parent, Nancy’s wealth of local knowledge comes in handy for clients who are new to the Florida Keys. Her two sons were born and raised in Key West, attended public schools, and participated in a variety of youth travel sports programs including a historic trip to the Cuban Youth Olympics which Nancy and her husband organized.
Nancy is currently President of "Be The One Foundation," a non-profit corporation serving at-risk youths which she and her family founded in 2018. She has played in the Southernmost Bocce League for many years and enjoys exploring nature, fishing, and boating in her free time. Nancy also still enjoys vacationing in tropical destinations, but now she only needs to go as far as her own backyard or for a dog walk on White Street pier.
