Nancy Metcalf, born and raised in Hawaii, graduated from Punahou School, and earned a degree in business management from Whitworth College, Washington State. She has been a full-time realtor since 1991. Nancy likes to give back to the industry she loves. Nancy is a second-generation realtor in her family, with her mother, Barbara Dew, being a well-loved and respected realtor for over 40 years. Nancy lives by the goal of doing business with "A Tradition of Gracious Service and Professionalism."
Change is constant, and Nancy loves this business because of that! The current real estate market is remarkably interesting and offers opportunities for buyers and sellers. Currently, clients will often find a shortage of available inventory, especially near downtown Honolulu, of properties priced at 1,200,000 dollars and below. Clients may have to be prepared to make decisions quickly when they see a home they like and offer fair prices based on the current market. This is not a market to "lowball" on offers if the property is something they really like.
Sellers have an opportunity to sell at a fair price but must pay attention to how their home shows and remember that first impressions are especially important, not just for potential buyers but also for agents. Interest rates are still terrific. Sellers have an opportunity to sell without too much competition as current inventory levels are low in many parts of the island. There is a balanced market now, which is good for buyers and sellers.
Nancy has over 25 years of experience in real estate sales and has been through several different market cycles. Her goal is to help her clients reach their real estate goals. Born and raised in Nuuanu Valley in Honolulu, she knows what makes different neighborhoods special.
