About Natalie
Natalie Rakowski is regarded as one of the most respected real estate agents in New York. She is consistently sought out by top real estate developers and discerning investors alike. They choose Natalie not only because of her business savvy and adept ability to glean invaluable insights into the market, but also for the inimitable expertise in acquisition, development planning, design, branding and sales that she offers her clients.
“Natalie is a true leader in the industry and a top producer with a keen ability to navigate strategically through the market, nationally and internationally,” said Howard M. Lorber, Chairman of Douglas Elliman. “She is smart, driven, and leads an incredibly talented team of agents.
Specializing in strategic planning and design, with a focus on New development, Natalie has marketed some of New York City’s finest properties. Rakowski has tremendous expertise and has worked with the most respected developers in New York City. She is skillful in identifying emerging markets and continues to augment customer service to propel the real estate industry forward.
Natalie graduated with an Economics degree from New York University. A true trail blazer, at the age of 20 she began her career as a real estate broker and developer by founding a company which helped holocaust survivors and their families recover property in (former) East Berlin. She was a Founding Member and Managing Director of CORE, a position she held for 10 years. Though this work, and more recent ventures in other international markets, she has acquired a proficiency in bridging different cultures.
Natalie is a true entrepreneur, continuing to oversee a successful family jewelry business. With a love of the arts, in 2000 she filmed and produced a documentary called “Talking Tacheles” which focused on the lives of artists squatting in an architecturally significant ruin in the former Jewish district of Berlin.
“Natalie is a gifted business woman, and with her unique understanding of the market and incredible work ethic, she provides superior service to her clients and team,” says Dottie Herman, President and CEO of Douglas Elliman. “Natalie is a relationship builder and knows the true value in maintaining her strong network. She is an invaluable asset to our firm.”
