Nelson helped my husband and I buy our first home! He was incredibly patient with us, led the way while at the same time following our lead and desires. I had a bad experience selling my condo and so when I was ready to buy a house I knew I needed to change who I was working with. In the insane market of Spring 2022 there was no way I would be able to buy a quality house in an desirable neighborhood on my budget without a laser-focused team. I told my friend and she said she knew a good realtor. I said sure but I need a shark. She said oh don't you worry, Nelson is a shark. And indeed he is. Nelson and his team (Reyhan is awesome) are thorough and attentive. They hear you the first time. And they move very quickly. Nelson is very smart about the market, very smart about how and why sellers and sellers' agents make the choices they do, very smart about how to make your bid rise to the top of the pile, and he is aggressive. He will tell you like it is and not pull any punches. I wouldn't recommend any other realtor in the DMV.

Our family has been most fortunate to deal with Nelson Marban and his real estate team at Washington Fine Properties during the past few years in the purchase of two properties and sale of two others. In the first one he was the listing agent for a house that was an ideal fit for one of our children and his family, who were at the time living overseas but planning to return to the U.S. He was able to negotiate the complications of selling to someone overseas and seal the deal within 48 hours. Nelson again saved the day when we attempted to purchase a condo but ran into problems with the listing agency. He got the purchase back on track and completed. He also served as our agent selling a condo and later a house. For both he and his team efficiently managed repair work and staging for open house; and then organized the offers we received, leading to closing. As a first time homebuyer, I could not more highly recommend the Nelson Marban Group, Washington Fine Properties and specifically, Rehyan Craddock.

From the beginning, Reyhan focused on our home buying needs and goals. More than just what we were looking for in a property, she discussed communication styles and preferences. We had a perfect mix of expert guidance plus access to technology tools and space to explore and do our own research as well. Reyhan was completely available for any questions and was able to provide her own expertise as well as share out the experience from the entire team. Having this team in our corner was an incredible asset in the fast moving and competitive housing market of DC.

Reyhan walked us through homes we saw online and helped us to think through how they might fit our needs. She was able to communicate with selling agents to gather more information so we could be as informed as possible. When we finally found "the one" she helped us set deadlines, provided recommendations for inspectors and other services. She was advocating for us in early mornings and late nights and was there to help us every step of the way.

Due to the incredible work by Reyhan and the experience and ability to move quickly that comes with such an incredible team, we were able to act fast, negotiate on the contract to make it even more favorable, and put in a bid under asking without competition (unheard of in this neighborhood.)

I'm so glad Reyhan was able to be our guide in purchasing our first home and I've been able to witness the amazing Nelson Marban team who operates professionally but also on a personal level as a big family who truly cares about their clients.

We cannot say enough about Nelson as a realtor; he is a consummate professional. As first time home-buyers attempting to purchase from across the country in the toughest real estate market in decades, we could not have chosen to work with a better team. Nelson and Reyhan were incredible - warm, responsive, professional, and effective. Nelson was wonderful at guiding us through the market, the home-buying process, and the ultimate purchase. He brought the temperature of the room down with his calm demeanor and helped us to avoid HGTV syndrome. We always felt like he was advocating from our best interests and not from his potential gain. Whether you are buying or selling a home (or both), you need Nelson and Washington Fine Properties. Don't trust the newer real estate companies or agents; they just don't have the years of experience necessary to ensure successful negotiations while protecting your best interest. Nelson has significant experience and excels at negotiating. He knows the DC market extremely well and can professionally handle anyone involved in the transaction(s).

Nelson represented me in the sale of a condo (that was rented to tenants) and buying a new home. That would have been challenging enough, and successfully doing both during the COVID pandemic, demonstrates Nelson's expertise. Despite the complications and time COVID added to the process, Nelson never wavered in his commitment to selling my home, ensuring that I was satisfied with the result. From virtual staging, virtual tours, online marketing, paper-based marketing, collecting feedback, appointed-based showings, staging, photography, etc., Nelson and his team did it all. And did it all very well. Having seen some of the feedback provided by listing agents made me realize how much more professional Nelson was in comparison.

Throughout the entire process, Nelson remained extremely responsive to email, text, and phone calls - and always worked around my schedule. Whether it was early morning, late night, or weekends, he was always ready to respond or quickly let me know when he was available to provide a more detailed response.
