Patrick Kappel

Patrick is an award-winning real estate agent, business owner, and investor with a focus on educating and serving clients at the highest level. In 2020, Patrick was awarded San Diego's highest real estate brokerage honor when he was recognized as San Diego's Realtor of the Year - Team Leader, by the San Diego Association of Realtors (SDAR) and the San Diego Union Tribune. Additionally, within SDAR, Patrick has earned Platinum Realtor status and Platinum Team status, recognizing him and his team amongst the top 1% of all Realtors and real estate teams within San Diego County. Patrick was also recognized as “40 Under 40” for three years in a row between 2018 to 2020. In 2021, the San Diego Business Journal named him one of the fifty most influential residential real estate leaders in San Diego County. His team, the Kappel Realty Group, has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal as a nationally ranked brokerage team amongst the top 1% in the United States. As the CEO and Team Leader of The Kappel Realty Group, Patrick and his team have sold nearly half a billion dollars in San Diego real estate. Due to the team's educational approach to real estate, ethical business practices, and a loyal client base, the Kappel Realty Group now consistently sells $10M+ per month. Working with both homeowners and local investors, the team has sold over 500 units composed of single-family homes, condos, and 2–4-unit investment properties. Although Patrick is recognized as an investment expert in the 2-4 unit market, he also is a top producing single-family residential agent, having sold condos in the $400K’s and homes over $4M. Throughout his real estate career, Patrick has also earned numerous awards at the brokerage level including; Top Producing Agent, Top Referred Agent, Company Culture Award, Company Impact award and multiple leadership awards. As a military veteran himself, and the highest awarded San Diego military realtor for veterans and active duty, Patrick has completed over 22 years of military service as a naval officer, and he continues serving in the Navy Reserves as the Commanding Officer of a local San Diego Reserve unit. Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MBA with a focus in finance from UCLA Anderson, and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of San Diego's Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate.
