Since 2014 I've worked with Tom Meyer of Essential Real Estate 4 times for real estate transactions (2 buy side and 2 sell side). I have also referred Essential Real Estate to neighbors and friends, all of whom got back to me with how happy they were and glad for the recommendation. We had similar experiences with Tom: he listens to the client, is patient, gives top-notch buy/sell offer guidance, goes the extra mile (for example recommendations on movers, cleaners, provided consultation from a stager). Lots of extras I didn't expect, but loved to have, and which made the process that much easier.

We have worked with Tom for many years! He's very knowledgeable, and straight forward with all the questions and concerns that may arise while purchasing a new home. We were blown away with how much money we saved on commission going with Tom and his company. In today's market buying or selling a home is stressful, hectic and generally not fun at all. Tom and his team took the work out of our new home purchase and helped us find our forever home! We are truly grateful for that. Hopefully we won't ever have to move again, but if we do we'll definitely contact Tom. And of course recommend him to everyone we know looking to buy or sell!

I started looking for my first home at the beginning of the COVID pandemic and finally moved into my home in April 2022! Patrick was amazing throughout the entire process! I had never thought that finding a home would take so long but due to COVID, there were many challenges. Patrick was patient and I could tell that his priority was finding me the RIGHT house! Patrick communicated with me continuously throughout the, almost 2, year stretch of time! I will recommend Patrick and Essential Real Estate to all of my family and friends who are looking to buy or sell their home! Tom and Patrick showed me where and how to use the strength of the market to pay lower commissions and sell on safer terms. I paid at least $4,000 less than expected in commissions, but the stress they eliminated for me was even better. When multiple offers came in Tom and Patrick clearly explained the differences between the offers and helped me to secure the best offer based on my priorities.

From our first meeting through the final sale and closing our our house, Tom and Patrick were wonderful to work with as were the others they referred for preparation and photos of the house for sale. Patrick was incredible as my realtor. He made it possible for me to be out of town during the shows. He set up a contractor to make a fix while the house was listed. He swept between shows because the rain was making a mess. He made all the decisions as to how much to list it for as well as being experienced enough to identify solid offers. The price he offered was lower than anyone else, but I gave him a raise halfway through the process because he deserved it.

We had the pleasure of working with Patrick for buying our new house and selling our condo. He helped us understand the market as both a buyer and seller in a detailed matter. We didn’t fully appreciate the nuances of the offer writing process and making your offer standout beyond price. When it came time to act for a sought after property with multiple offers, Patrick guided us through various components of a great offer, helped us stay calm through counter offers and we got the house! On the selling front, Patrick and his partners helped us get the condo in great shape for pictures and showings. When we received an offer, Patrick helped us understand the current market and put forward a counter that was accepted. The 1% selling commission gave us further flexibility and peace of mind to act now instead of (hopefully) waiting for an even better offer. We appreciated Patrick’s professional, calm, responsive and punctual approach and highly recommend him for your real estate needs.
