Patrick O’Dwyer, founder of The O'Dwyer Group, is a top-producing real estate broker & remodeling contractor specializing in multi-family units, luxury condos, single-family homes, apartment complex leasing & property portfolio management throughout the city of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
As a native of Ireland, Patrick grew up working for his family-owned business specializing in real estate development and mechanical engineering services. That is where Patrick’s love for real estate first began. After studying computer engineering in Ireland, Patrick spent several years in London working in the IT sector before immigrating to America to follow his passion for real estate in 2008. After arriving in the US, Patrick began his career in residential property development, working on the team with top producing agent Matt Garrison, founder of the Matt Garrison Group & R2 Companies.
Patrick has been recognized as a Chicago Association of REALTORS® Top Producer for the past ten consecutive years. In addition, he received the 2020 Outstanding Rental Achievement Award, 2019 Platinum Rental Award & 2017 Gold Rental Award. As a real estate broker, Patrick also received the award for the Top 250 Closed Volume, Top 250 Agents in Closed Units, and Top 250 Gross Commission Income in 2017, along with the 2017 Top Independent Sales Associates & Team for Units. Additionally, in 2018 NRT ranked The O'Dwyer Group #3 team in North America for rental income.
After Patrick launched his real estate group & remodeling company in 2013, the first task was to create a brand for his company. For Patrick, this came simple. As a clear commitment to his heritage and family, he developed a company emblem that honored the rich history of his name - a reflection of the O'Dwyer family crest. The crest's symbolic and powerful design motivates Patrick's hard work and perseverance each and every day.
Patrick also offers his clients extensive condominium association knowledge from voluntary serving on the board of directors for multiple condo buildings, including over ten years at 1400 N. Lake Shore Drive, a 22-story high rise that sold as a deconversion to apartments in November 2019 for $106 million. During the recession years, Patrick additionally proved his worth by brokering the sale of more than 100 plus condominiums – equating to over $25 million in sales – for a 300-plus high-rise building located in the world-famous Chicago Gold Coast neighborhood.
