Very Calm, Competent and Easy To Work With. This was the fifth time that we have relocated and had to sell one house while buying another, and this was the best experience we have had. Paul was very knowledgeable about the market both in Statesville and in other areas and considerate of our timeline and limitations (we were moving 13 hours away--with pets--and had to coordinate selling, buying and moving our entire household long distance). One of the things I appreciated most about Paul was his methodical calmness. Even when we had a contract on our house but were still looking for one to move to, he was steady and responsive. Unlike some agents, he keeps drama, potential conflicts and worry to a minimum so that the entire experience right down to closing was a good experience for everyone. I have already recommended him to friends and would do so again without hesitation. We have only good things to say about Paul and how he handled the sale of our home.

Paul is the hardest working realtor in Georgia. When my wife and our were looking to buy our first home around 2007, we drove up from Florida on a Saturday afternoon and had limited time to view homes. We called a number we saw outside of a home around 7:00pm on a Saturday evening. Not expecting to get anyone, Paul answered. In 2018 I contacted Paul from across the country looking to move our family to Statesboro. I was very worried about this process at first, but Paul put my wife and I at ease from our first contact. After a few emails clarifying what we were looking for we planned a trip on Memorial Day. I am so impressed that he was willing to dedicate his holiday in order to help us find our new home. I think he took us to see 8 different homes that day. After taking us to the first 3 he had an even better feel for what we were looking for and took us to a home that he thought would be perfect for us. He was right! Paul was my agent when I bought my first house in Statesboro (in 2014) as well as when I sold it after 4 years when I left the state. He did a great job, in both processes. He is very methodical and well prepared. When I sold the house, I had to leave the town right after listing it due to my new job. He made sure the place is well maintained until it was sold. 07/08/2014 - Sold a Single Family home in 2014 in Statesboro, GA. Our experience with Paul was fantastic. After contacting Paul, he put together several homes for us to tour in the Statesboro area. While we ultimately decided to build, with Paul's help we were able to sell our current house quickly. The timing couldn't have worked out better. In order to time the sale of our current house with the completion date of the new house, Paul advised us exactly when to put our house on the market. Not only were we able to sell our old house for a good price, but the timing was perfect. With Paul's help, we closed on our old home 2 weeks after we moved into our new home. 05/11/2015 - Sold a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $225K in Statesboro, GA. Paul did a very good job for us in getting our house sold quickly and efficiently. He was responsive to our communications in a timely manner and kept us informed. There was little negotiations involved so the 4 star rating is only reflective of our limited experience. The only issue I had with his service came when it appeared I needed an elevation letter. Neither he nor the other agent involved knew the requirements and neither seemed interested in learning those requirements. I spent an entire day gaining this knowledge which I am unlikely to need again. As professionals likely to need this knowledge, I would have expected them to do the research as part of professional growth and earning their commission.

In the past three years I have bought four houses with Paul Newman. I have not had any vacancies with these houses. The biggest advantage working with Paul is that he really knows the local market. He knows which neighborhoods are popular and how much rent a house can get (and of course he also knows about bad neighborhoods and tough rentals). 02/15/2012 - Sold a home in 2011 in Emit, Statesboro, GA 30458. Paul was my agent when I listed my house in Statesboro in May 2011. Overall I was very pleased with his efforts and ability to help us sell our home. His market knowledge was excellent. He provided me reports filled with data from the MLS on what similar homes had recently sold for in the area. This was beneficial in setting a realistic sales price to attract buyers. Paul was very competent in the overall sales process and was able to help me understand what steps were involved from pre-listing to closing. He was always available to answer any questions and was great about keeping me informed on any updates. Paul was able to help negotiate a fair deal and did his best to reason with a local appraiser. Paul was able to provide him comparable sales in the area in line with our sales contract in order to get the appraisal value as close to the signed sales contract as possible. While the appraiser did not take Paul's additional data into consideration, I feel that Paul fought for me the best he could. Overall, I would work with Paul again in the area.
