Born in Texas and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Paula's interest and training in real estate began at an early age, simply by observing her parents. "My mother was a full-time Realtor®, and watching her work is what really got me interested in this business," remembers Paula. "In high school, I would go with her to open houses and property tours. I learned a lot from her." Paula's father Dusty is also an experienced real estate developer, entrepreneur, and engineer. "Real estate is in my family blood, I love it!"

Becoming a Realtor® was always one of Paula's lifelong goals, as she focused on real estate while attending the University of Arkansas, eventually earning a degree in Marketing and Finance. During her college years, she cheered on the Hogs football and basketball teams and was a member of the Razorback Pom Pom Squad and a dedicated member of her sorority. After spending just over a decade in Dallas, Paula and her husband, Rip moved to Austin in 1999, where she continued to grow her family and quickly entered the Austin real estate market as a full-time Realtor.
