We don't usually write reviews for people or vendors in general, but because of the amazing service we have received from Pearl and Kevin, I felt compelled to write this. They took care of us the moment we had signed with them to sell our home. They patiently walked through all the logistics and kept us informed of the timeline and the paperwork. We wanted to make sure that our house was staged properly. They involved us in choosing the right staging company so that we can present the house in the best light possible. We appreciated them responding to us promptly during our countless questions. They were detail oriented to ensure that nothing fell into the cracks. I recently sold my house for a great price :) Without Pearl and Kevin, this lovely couple team, I would have not been able to get the same kind of price for the house. From the very beginning, they made a step-by-step plan for me and explained everything very clearly. I loved what they proposed, they stayed on top of every single detail during the entire process and I really didn't need to worry about anything. Everything moved so fast and I couldn't believe it.
Pearl hired a crew that upgraded the house at a very low price (paint, carpet, cleaning, fixing minor issues, installing new light fixtures...) and then hired a really amazing staging company that made my place look like one of those you would see in a design magazine.
Kevin is the technical brain behind all aspects. He is like Bob, Mr. Incredibles ;)
Most importantly, they are really kind and genuine people you would absolutely love to work with and can trust 100%. I have mentioned how awesome they are to my friends so that my friends will take the benefit and pleasure to work with them in the future :) If you are thinking about selling or buying your place, they are the first people you should consider.

Her fantastic connections got me a highly motivated + marketing savvy agent. My property sold above listing price. She mitigated any conflicts between myself and agent in an amicable + timely manner. I worked with her again for selling a condo in Marina del Rey. She continuously impressed me with her top notch connections + high-end service. She connected me to an agent who is well known for representing luxury condos in west side. There is no limit when it comes to geography since Pearl proved she has unlimited resources in California.

I had a house to sell in Merced. Knowing Pearl, I asked her and Kevin to sell my house for me. I was surprised when they told me that they wouldn’t do it, at least not themselves. They explained that they didn’t feel comfortable about being able to give the best service for something that far out of their home territory. Thanks to Pearl and Kevin - they connected me to an amazing Agent that helped me prepare my house, position it perfectly, and sell it really well - all remotely, while I was here in the Bay Area. Pearl and Kevin were always available for questions and monitored the whole process, making sure that I was taken care of. My wife and I purchased our first home with Pearl and Kevin in November 2021. As expected in the Bay Area, the process was intense but their resources and expertise helped us feel prepared!

Pearl had useful, up to date information about the neighborhoods we were looking in. She was quick to get back to us with any questions she couldn’t answer on the spot. Oftentimes finding answers before we had gotten our seat belts on in our car! Pearl is extremely professional, very timely and detailed in her responses, and always eager to help. This has continued well past the home-buying process, and Pearl is still someone we can rely on for advice and resources for our home.

Kevin will ferret out any problem a house might potentially have. After walking through a handful of houses with him we picked up a wealth of knowledge, and learned what are common quirks, problem spots, and what to look out for. He’s eager to teach, which was greatly appreciated as we are now responsible for maintaining our first home ever! With any serious contenders, Pearl and Kevin went through the various reports and disclosures with us, flagging any potential concerns, their severity, and potential costs associated with them. They were also able to give great advice on things we could do ourselves versus things we would need to contract out for.

Pearl and Kevin’s workshops about the home buying process were very informative and useful. This ensured we were prepared to make offers on houses with aggressive deadlines. As we were first exploring different neighborhoods within our budget, our search spanned the entire peninsula. Pearl and Kevin (and Bora 🐱) were troopers on long days stretching from Pacifica to Santa Clara. In the end, we looked at 28 houses over 3 weeks and had our second offer accepted. We couldn’t be happier with the home we are in and feel like we got a really great deal!

Pearl You and Kevin James helped us buy our home in Los Gatos in September 2021. We could not be happier with our experience! We began working with them in April of 2021 but we were not ready to pull the trigger on a home just yet as we were preparing to relocate from southern California and selling our current home. Pearl and Kevin knew we were only browsing at that time but they gave us just as much attention as their active clients. They took us out to see a variety of homes which helped us understand the market and helped them understand what we were looking for. For several months we browsed homes remotely and they were always available to answer our questions and help us understand the Silicon Valley market. Once we decided it was time to buy a home, Pearl and Kevin worked fast, which we loved! Still living in southern California, we flew out for a house hunting weekend and saw 6 homes of our choosing. We had an offer in on our prime choice within a couple days of seeing the house. Pearl & Kevin helped us to negotiate and within 48 hours we had our offer accepted below asking price! This is unheard of in the current housing market, especially in Silicon Valley! But these awesome agents didn't stop there. Once our offer was accepted Pearl & Kevin were highly involved every step of the way working with the loan offer, escrow company, and even helping us secure contractors for various work we had done on the home. Each time we texted them they responded within minutes and they always followed up to ensure our experience with each vendor was a good one. We truly could not recommend these agents more! Not only are they amazing real estate agents but they are also really good people. We would highly recommend them to our friends and family. You can't go wrong with these two!

I had another agent before working with Pearl and Kevin. The biggest difference I found was Pearl and Kevin’s genuineness and integrity. They were interested in my interest and vision. They also tried to get the best price for me. I was going to offer a higher price, but Pearl told me I can offer a LOWER price than that. Guess what? Yes, I got my first home! Her sensitivity about the offering price was right on. A few months later, I’m still shocked how much my new home has everything I dreamed of!

As a first-time homebuyer, I didn’t have much knowledge about this process. Every step of the way, Pearl and Kevin helped me. She asked questions to learn about my needs and gave me feedback that helped me prioritize them. Kevin gave me his opinions about house construction and remodeling knowledge. Going through the buying process could have been a hard learning experience, but with Pearl and Kevin, it was seamless. When I need to sell my property, I will go with this team again. I highly recommend Chic n the Geek real estate agents! Pearl and Kevin are the ultimate professional realtors. They helped us buy a home for and with my son. It was no easy task searching for a property that fit all of our needs especially since sometimes they were opposing needs. Pearl and Kevin are a perfect team: they listened to what we each wanted, set-up a variety of properties to help us hone in on what would fit our contrasting wish lists, asked for honest feedback throughout the process so that they were always improving with what they showed us. They also provided valuable input (pros and cons of properties, potential improvements and cost estimates, and in the crazy times of overbidding, invaluable input on value vs range of possible bids). Buying a home in this valley can be stressful, but Pearl and Kevin were an ever-calming presence. What was super cool, is that they didn’t disappear after we signed the papers. They helped us with the termite process, helped us understand the inspections so that we were comfortable with what had to be done before moving in and what we could do in time. In the end, we have a wonderful starter home for our son. Pearl and Kevin's service could not have been any better throughout the entire process.

Our experience was great. We were trying to buy a house in the craziest market I've ever been involved. Pearl and Kevin guided us through with great market evaluations explaining the properties strengths and downsides. It was always a no pressure situation with them.. It took four attempts to get the house we wanted, but ultimately we made the right offer. And it's not over once the purchase was complete, they provided help in setting up contractors, as well as an offer to borrow Kevin's vast array of tools and hardware for us to get the job done ourselves. Their comfort and ease in walking us through the entire process, hands-on approach to help us prepare the property, and constant and clear communication end-to-end made the selling process so smooth. You can count on them to give guidance without being pushy and feedback that you may not want to hear, but is critical to the success of the transaction. You won't find any hollow BS salesperson responses from these two!

Remember, you're getting two realtors in this package deal - that means two sets of discerning eyes looking out for you and your home. Not one agent and a bunch of underlings to do the grunt work, but two professionals who partner together with you to chart the best course of action. We were first time homebuyers and really lucked out with Pearl and Kevin. They started us out with a crash course on real-estate documents and concepts, where they spent a lot of time going over the details of each part of the contract, which enabled us to jump right into the home buying process. A couple of months later, we got the keys to our very own home!
Both Pearl and Kevin made themselves available to see houses with us at the drop of a hat, whether it was a weekday afternoon or weekend evening. They always brought their 100% to each house, and kept us grounded during the bidding process. For each house we were interested in, they spent time reviewing and evaluating the inspection reports with us, giving us a better understanding of the house.
Pearl was patient and responsive the entire time. Her strategic thinking at a crucial moment got our offer accepted. Kevin's proficiency in home construction is invaluable. He has great insight into how homes are built, and educated us on the basics of foundations, roofing, plumbing, electrical, etc. Diving into crawl spaces and attics with him was such an adventure!
Apart from this, they are authentic, fun, humorous, and just all-round awesome people, whom we also consider good friends. Both of them went above and beyond for us, and made a typically stressful experience into an enjoyable ride. They even made our closing day extra special :) Thank you Pearl and Kevin!

Pearl is a meticulous and considerate agent. She took the time to understand our needs and provided valuable guidance regarding the home buying process. Kevin helped us understand the details of home inspections and myriad of reports that accompany a home purchase. Kevin and Pearl helped sell our house in Milpitas, Bay Area with a turnaround time of 2 weeks with 50k over the listing price. What we were most impressed is that Kevin being an engineer himself not only helped with suggestions on what to change to increase the value of the house but with hands on help with upgrades around the house which added significant value. The value of the house increased over 25% in 2 years (we also bought the house with Kevin/pearl as our realtors) because of these significant changes that were suggested by them. One other key callout was that they helped secure a zero percent loan to help fund the upgrades with compass which went a long ways. Pearl has excellent contacts when it comes to staging, advertising, etc.we would very highly recommend them and they are truly a part of our family now/ Would be remiss if I don’t mention Kevin’s exceptional BBQ skills that our teenage kids would any day die for....

Pearl and Kevin are extremely professional, hardworking, and higly dedicated to their job. They are good people who are patient, caring, listening, and honest.

We sold our old house and purchased a new one during the second half of 2020. It was a very long and stressful journey, but I believe it was possible only because we worked with Pearl and Kevin. During the sale and purchase, my wife and I called Pearl and Kevin numerous times from morning to late night, and they were always available to us. From little details to major decisions, they did everything they could, gave us their honest opinions based on experience and research, and guided us to make the best decision possible. Many times our minds were filled with negative thoughts, but they helped us keep calm by listening to us and encouraging us with caring words.

My wife and I consider ourselves very lucky to have met Pearl and Kevin. We made many good memories while we were selling and searching for a new house; my favorite is investigating the crawl space of my current house with Kevin and getting a crash course on foundation.

Our meetings and phone calls continued even after the home purchase. Per our request, Pearl recommended a very skilled, fast-working, yet affordable contractor who updated our house. She also reached out to several termite and storage companies for competitive pricing. The service that Pear and Kevin provided was so much and so vast that we are very grateful.

We made such a great purchase for the new house I don’t think we’ll need realtor help for a while. However, we’ll continue our relationship with Pearl and Kevin as one family to another and make more cherishable memories with them.

It was a great home buying journey with Pearl and Kevin. The first meeting with Pearl and Kevin was online due to covid 19. We started our home buying journey with the document reviewing workshop. Pearl and Kevin were really hardworking and prepared at every home buying stage. It was my first home buying experience so it was uncharted waters. I wanted to have partners who are knowledgeable and trustful in this journey. And Pearl and Kevin were the right partners I was looking for! (They are more than partners, they are friends:)) My family could find the best fit home for our first home. We love our new place very much. It is with -- great pleasure -- that I write this review for Chic n the Geek. I was referred by a friend. When we first met, Pearl assessed my goals and expectations. She explained all the factors that come into play when purchasing a home. She helped me decide on purchasing a house vs condo, and decide on the city and then the neighborhood. I decided on a home, and I was fortunate to have also the perspective of Kevin on the house assessment, needed repairs, processes. They both helped with me understand the disclosures, various options and in making difficult decisions. They drew up a persuasive offer, which was accepted. During the time of Covid, the lender pulled back their approval letter for the loan. This created a lot of challenges, for myself, my realtors, the seller agent and the seller. There was a lot of coordination to be made. They were both well prepared for the challenges. They referred me to a wonderful lender. In time, I closed, and now I have a new home. It’s been such a pleasure working with Pearl and Kevin for the past few months. I first met Pearl at an open house while I was just roaming around not knowing what I was doing. She graciously offered to help me out and asked if I was interested in attending some first time home buyer workshops. I said yes not really knowing what that was all about. Since then, I’ve been meeting with Pearl and Kevin one on one.. or one on two I guess (just me and both of them). They’ve spent a lot of time preparing information on what I was interested in learning.
