About Petra

Petra Socolovsky has grown her business rapidly by expertly helping her clients navigate DC’s changing real estate market. With determination and caring, she prioritizes each seller or buyer’s unique situation and ensures an outcome that consistently outperforms the market.

Born in Sweden, Petra was a foreign correspondent for Swedish Public Radio for almost two decades. She has lived in Spain, Germany and the Netherlands and speaks five languages.

Petra has always been drawn to real estate, and with her distinct sense of style and eye for investment opportunities she renovated historic homes in four countries. Among her favorite projects are a canal house loft in the heart of Amsterdam and a mountain villa in Madrid that once belonged to King Alfonso XIII’s personal physician.

In 2010, Petra relocated to Washington DC and instantly fell in love with the architecture and people of the city. In representing buyers and sellers primarily in northwest DC, Petra prides herself in providing personalized service and strategic advice. And in a city where market conditions can vary from block to block, and from week to week, Petra’s research skills and deep knowledge of the local market have proven to be great assets to her clients.

Petra lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband and their two sons.
