As a 4th generation Venturan and descendent of the pioneering Foster family, Phil Ranger knows Ventura real estate – his great grandfather was responsible for much of Ventura's early development. Phil continues the family tradition with a successful real estate career spanning over three decades, while earning a reputation for advising clients with the proven expertise that comes from navigating multiple buyer, seller, and short sale markets. This extensive knowledge, combined with Phil’s strong Ventura roots and diverse local work resume, allow him to answer any client question with the utmost confidence.

“I love helping people through real estate transactions they typically consider anxiety-ridden or stressful, and often contain surprises capable of triggering sudden highs and lows,” says Phil. “Advance client preparation is crucial, along with first rate communication. The dedicated agent holds a Bachelors of Professional Arts degree from Brooks Institute of Photography, and a Masters of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to real estate, Phil served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and worked as a high school photography teacher and tennis coach. He was also a USPTR tennis professional at numerous private clubs in Colorado, Florida, and Somis, California. Much like his passion for tennis and photography, Phil brings a competitive edge to real estate and a laser focus that results in winning outcomes.

When he is not securing the best deals or fiercely negotiating on a client’s behalf, Phil can be found on the tennis court with his wife and two grown kids or taking photographs. Phil also volunteers on the education committee of the Ventura Botanical Gardens.
