Dr. Shah is a board certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist who is actively licensed to practice medicine in PA, NJ and ME.
He is a highly experienced surgeon with over a decade of experience performing cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and laser vision correction such as LASIK and PRK.
A graduate of Columbia University and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Shah completed his Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the Cole Eye institute of the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Shah has authored numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, and was a clinical investigator in FDA trials for collagen crosslinking treatment of Keratoconus. He has presented at more than a dozen national meetings in the field of ophthalmology and medical science.
At present his attention is devoted to providing high quality surgical results using the latest technologies in a setting that provides optimal comfort for his patients. He has performed over 10,000 eye surgeries including LASIK and laser cataract surgery and has an outstanding surgical safety record. Dr. Shah has a particular interest in laser eye surgery and is one of relatively few eye surgeons with experience using a wide variety of different laser platforms for cataract and LASIK surgery. He is a doctor’s doctor in having performed countless surgeries for fellow physicians.
