I have been a Real Estate Agent for almost 10 years now, and I will be the first to tell you, it has not been easy. I was laid off from my job as a Project Management Coordinator back in 2009. I had to re-invent myself with the quickness. I took a sabbatical for a year (moved to Charlotte, NC) and worked on brushing up on my writing skills, because I am also a Published Author.
Little did I know, I would be embarking on beholding a HUGE responsibility...
When I decided to become a Real Estate Agent, passing the test (the FIRST time) was the only thing that came easy for me.
But I didn't give up. My village was pretty strong. And I made it out on the other side, but not before having to learn a thing or two about managing my business and commissions better. And don't even get me started on the FEES a Real Estate Agent has to succumb to in order to even stay in business.
Listen, I have been through the fire and back. From broke to homelessness to barely making ends meet. So, I know a thing or two about this journey we call "Life". This is why when a prospect comes to me for representation, I take the process very seriously. I can relate to the client with a little cash-flow to that client who has more money than they need. I know it is not easy to make one of the largest purchases in your life, (no matter how little or much money you may have), and in being a part of this process with you, I want to ensure that I take as much on my shoulders as possible in order to minimize the stress upon you that (if you let it), is sure to come.
Buying and Selling real estate is challenging enough. Therefore, the last thing you need is a Realtor who cares more about their bottom line (their commission or how many properties they have on the board), than they do about YOU. Although our bottom line is very important, because Realtors truly work very hard. However, here is what I know for sure... Caring about YOU (as a person) is so much more rewarding than the numbers, because the numbers will come, especially if you give your clients your very best. And I DO that!
