For 27 years, Rich Dana has been a top-producing Realtor in Boulder County, the Denver Metropolitan area, and surrounding Colorado communities. Rich represents buyers, sellers, and real estate developers, and his knowledge of the Colorado real estate market has helped personally facilitate over $175 million dollars in residential real estate transactions.
Rich began his career in 1992 with Van Schaack and Company (since acquired by Coldwell Banker), and joined FourStar Realty the following year. In addition to his own brokerage responsibilities, Rich served as FourStar Realty’s managing sales broker, and in 2006, became a principal in the company. During his tenure at FourStar Realty, Rich grew the sales division from three to thirty-eight brokers and supervised a full support staff. During Rich’s management, his sales division generated over $1.3 billion dollars in residential real estate sales. In 2018, Rich purchased the sales division of FourStar Realty and founded Live West Realty, overseeing the company and it’s 40 brokers.
In addition to his Colorado residential real estate experience, Rich has been a principal and managing partner in multiple real estate development projects and investment holding companies. He has also worked closely with the City of Boulder Affordable Housing Division, with whom he sold over fifty affordable homes to Buyers in need.
Rich moved to Boulder in 1969 from Tucumcari, New Mexico, and attended local schools (Mapleton and Whittier Elementary, Casey Middle and Boulder High) and has raised his own family in Boulder County. Over the years, he has also lived in Louisville, Superior and Lafayette. In 1991 Rich obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration (finance) from Chapman University in Orange, California, and also earned his Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation.
