I’m a sailor who was transitioning from the west coast to the east coast into my first home and Calderon team was taking care of my during this difficult process. Richard Calderon was referred to us from a mutual friend. We were living in California at the time and my husband had received orders to Naval Station Norfolk. We set up a virtual meeting with Richard to discuss our wants and needs in a home and he quickly set us up with a search so we could get an idea of the types of home we could get for in our budget within the Hampton Roads area.

By the time we arrived in Virginia Beach, we had an idea of where we wanted to look and homes we wanted to check out. We told Richard we had a week to find a home so we could get our boys enrolled in school asap….no pressure ☺️! Richard had two full days set aside for us to tour available homes and within 4 days we were under contract 🙌.

The experience of working with Richard was incredible. He was very responsive, knowledgeable, well connected and resourceful at overcoming any speed bumps. We definitely felt he had our best interests in mind and was a great sport at touring multiple homes in the summer heat with a short time span to get under contract. The entire process was smooth and we would highly recommend Richard over and over again 😊.

Richard's expertise provided us with a sold home in one day after our home was listed with a sale of more than asking price. Then he was able to guide us through the purchase of our retirement home at a lower rate than we had expected. He advised the prices for the area we were looking at would rise since the cost of building was expecting to increase due to shortage of materials and land. Each of his recommendations were on the money which enabled us to save money which in turn enabled us to afford more! I have recommended Richard to all of my family and friends.

Buying your first home is stressful, especially when you're from across the country and don't know the area. Thankfully, I found Richard on Instagram and he quickly helped my family tour homes in our new area. Eventually, after seeing many homes, we settled on building a home in a new community. Richard helped ensure the building process went smoothly by being there for all document signings and phases of construction. On closing day, Richard delivered lunch. Every season we'd find a gift from Richard on our porch, year after year; above and beyond and thoughtful. After three years in our new home, my husband received new military orders to leave the area, and yet again, we counted on Richard. He sold our house in less than a week in a competitive market. Communication was always smooth, Richard always remained professional, and always kept it real ensuring no promises were made unkept. If we're ever back in VA, Richard is our guy.

Our situation with Richard was a little different than most. My family was transferring to Virginia from Arizona. I was not able to fly out for a house hunting trip due to COVID. My wife found Richard from a Facebook Group. The first time we spoke with Richard on the phone we knew he was professional and we were going to work with him. Richard took the time to go and look at house for us. He created videos and we had video chat while he walks through the house. It took us about three weeks to finally set on something. The thing with our situation alos is that we were not buying, we were renting. Even though we were renting, Richard still showed us the courtesy and devoted time to us even though he was not earning any compensation. We can't thank Richard enough for helping us find a place. When we are ready to find a house we will definitely be calling Richard.
