About Richard

Born in Summerville, South Carolina, Dick Miler is a native son of “The Flower Town in the Pines” and is a 1978 graduate of The Citadel. Dick started his career in the real estate industry over 30 years ago in the mortgage banking profession and served as regional vice–president for two different lenders. Specializing in residential sales and marketing for the past twenty years, Dick brings a very broad range of “hands on” experience, knowledge, and success to assist his sellers and buyers as the Broker In Charge at Miler Properties, Inc.

Dick loves the greater Summerville area, and believes in giving back to the community that has faithfully supported him and the company over the years. As an active member of several civic, church, and charitable organizations, Dick is a tireless giver of his time, talent, and treasure to numerous causes.

A former board member of Children in Crisis, The Dorchester County Homeless Shelter (Palmetto House), and the Dorchester County Tax Authority, he also served as the Chairman of the Board for the Summerville Family YMCA for two years and helped oversee the opening of the new branch facility at The Ponds.

The father of four fantastic daughters, Dick and his wife Debbie stay actively involved in their extended family life. He is a master’s swimmer, and stays active in various sporting activities, with a passion for hiking and spending time in the North Carolina Mountains. He sees his job as an opportunity to serve others, to share the love of Christ, and to be an Ambassador of the community to those who are living in and moving to the Lowcountry.
