About Richie

Richie came to Boise in 2005 on an Athletic Scholarship to play football for Boise State University. During his time playing for the Broncos, he became Team Captain and won two Fiesta Bowls. While on Scholarship, he completed his undergraduate degree in three years and obtained a Master of Accountancy. With the goal to continue playing football, Richie was signed as a free agent to the San Diego Chargers and later the Carolina Panthers.

Throughout his career at Boise State and the NFL, Richie earned a reputation as being competitive, intelligent, and consistent in every part of his preparation and performance. He earned 5 consecutive roster spots on the Carolina Panthers and became most known for his trick play touchdown the “Fumblerooski” against the Houston Texans in 2011. After the birth of his daughter, he retired from the NFL and made the move back to Boise. The friendly community, ease of access to the outdoors, and great schools made Boise the obvious choice to raise his family. It is not uncommon to see him biking to work on the greenbelt or riding the lift at Bogus Basin.

Richie accepted a job at Deloitte Tax in 2016. It provided him another opportunity to test his knowledge and passion for helping clients in a competitive environment. While working for Deloitte and achieving his CPA, Richie learned a great deal about the intricacies of the tax code and how to analyze complex transactions and scenarios. Richie has established a solid understanding of how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 affected real estate buyers and sellers. Having owned multiple real estate investment properties in the Treasure Valley, Richie has firsthand knowledge of how investors view the market, and how to incorporate real estate into a financial plan.

Richie married his college sweetheart, Whitney, in 2012. They currently live in Southeast Boise with their two children, Livinia and Jensen. Family has always been important and making memories through travel and the outdoors has led to many great adventures.
