Ever since we first contacted Rick to list our house, we had nothing but a wonderful experience. He was patient, respectful, put our needs first instead of applying pressure tactics. In our initial consultation, he guided us on where to spend our efforts, money to increase the curb appeal keeping in mind the budget. He ensured we spend right amount of money to do the necessary improvements and even had contractor recommendations for key areas. We told him it would take about 2.5 months for us to do everything, he understood and waited patiently for us to finish everything. Once the renovations are completed, he helped us go through a very smooth listing and selling process. During our sale we physically moved to a different state, and Rick was more than accomodative to help us out with Remote distance selling. In fact, couple of time Rick even helped us by running errands like picking up stuff from our old old house and delivered it our friends. The listing, contracting, and closing process was very smooth. During the contract period, Rick has to travel out of state and even during that time he kept us informed consistently about the progress of various activities. His knowledge of local market helped us to price the house right which expedited the sale timelines.

Overall, it was one of the best experiences we had.

Rick Stockel is absolutely amazing! Using a realtor that has significant social media presence may seem great in the beginning, but when it comes to pointing out the structural details of a home that could have a significant impact on your longevity within the home, your going to want a realtor with honesty and experience. I personally decided to go with Rick because he is a full-time realtor with over 25 years of experience in the field, and most importantly, he took pride in being an honest realtor. As a first-time homebuyer (now homeowner), Rick made it his mission that I learned something new from every home that we viewed. Buying a home during the pandemic came with its own challenges, but Rick always reminded me to not rush the process, but to trust that the right home was out there for me. I am so happy that I went with a realtor that sought my best interest over their own financial gain. Rick has truly become a friend to me and my family. Thank you so much, Rick!

We just bought and closed on a house through Rick, and went with him on the recommendation of a family member. As first time home buyers, we were nervous about diving in without any knowledge up front, but Rick made the process almost entirely painless. He was there every step of the way with answers or feedback, and was responsive to any of our needs even after hours.

From a personality perspective, Rick is friendly and talkative, and he has tons of connections, which is important in such an active housing market. There are lots of other agents and entities involved in a closing that can risk slowing the process down, and Rick was not hesitant to push them along when needed to keep everything on the right timeline.

We had an amazing experience with Rick and would recommend him to anyone looking to buy their next (or first!) home!

My wife and I have used Rick now for 8 different transactions dating back to 2002, and I can't recommend him enough. He is down to earth, honest and above all realistic. He does a great job of consistently under-promising and over-delivering, which consistently leads to a satisfied customer. His firm belief in and understanding of market forces helps his buyers and sellers tremendously, which is why we keep coming back to him for all of our real estate needs.

Take this last transaction between us, one that was in the works for almost a year and a half as he helped guide me on preparing my mom's house for sale. He was able to get my mom's house sold in a very rural area, with not many comps, in less than 5 days. Going into it, we had a plan for the items that needed to be repaired prior to sale, as well as what tasteful upgrades might get us into a more competitive spot without breaking the bank. Throughout the process Rick helped me identify contractors that could do the work (incredibly hard to find in the labor market these days) as well as kept me abreast of the market and where he thought we could land on pricing. Without Rick's contacts, help and guidance, my mom's house may have never sold but once again Rick's process paid off, with multiple competitive offers that concluded with us selling for over asking. Some of that is obviously the market we're in currently, but a lot of that has to do with what Rick brings to the table.

If you're looking for a stand up realtor that knows what it takes to buy and sell homes in all types of areas and real estate markets, Rick is your guy. He prides himself on great customer service, and I can say we've gotten exactly that every time we've used him in a transaction.

We can’t say enough positive things about our experience with Rick Stockel. A long trusted realtor of my husband’s family, he made our move to Richmond better than we could have imagined.

First, Rick is extremely responsive. He never lets an email or text go unanswered and always responds extremely promptly. Second, he understands the market and the importance of making a smart investment. He’s honest and really guided us when a home was overpriced or would be difficult to re-sell. With having a window of 60 days to close on a house or end up paying a full year's rent and, possibly, having a mortgage, Rick helped us find a house that met our "needs and frills." My husband and I are first-time home buyers, and Rick greatly exceeded all our expectations and hopes for a realtor. We needed someone who would be extremely patient with us and respect our decisions in making the biggest financial commitment of our life. Additionally, we needed someone who was extremely knowledgeable about the market and economics in order to help us understand the true value of the homes we were considering.

We were on our housing search for six months until we found the right fit, and that involved us changing our minds numerous times on location, style of house, etc. In all that time, we never felt pressured or that we were being unreasonable in our requests.
