Forever a loyal Mountaineer from the small town of Morgantown, West Virginia, Rob has called the islands of Sanibel & Captiva and the surrounding SW Florida area home since 1989. After a successful restaurant career spanning over 20 years, Rob attained his Florida real estate sales license in early 2004. Rob was named Rookie of the Year during his first 12 months at one of the most admired brokerages on the islands, and subsequently was invited to became a team member on the then highest selling real estate team in SW Florida. Rob credits his long term success and his commitment to maintaining the highest level of ethical standards as a real estate professional to the incredible mentors he was fortunate to work with in those early years. In 2016 Rob attained his Florida Broker license and soon thereafter opened SBL Realty Group.

In 2010 Rob had an opportunity to manage one his client’s homes as a vacation rental. Taking from his many years of hospitality experience, he quickly became a success in the local vacation rental market. In 2013, with his business and residential real state partner Charlie Hartley, he founded and created Sanibel Vacations. Today, with over 110 properties under management, Sanibel Vacations is one of the most successful vacation rental companies on the islands of Sanibel and Captiva.

Rob’s intense determination and business skillset have resulted in a multi-layered real estate business model combining residential sales, vacation property rentals, and general property management. This combination of his extensive market knowledge of both real estate sales and investment property acquisition and management has set him apart in his ever-expanding market, resulting in the ability to serve a growing list of clients interested in living and/or investing in the SW Florida area.
