Rob drives the company’s strategic direction, including all investment and development. Over the last two decades, Rob has led MAVD’s substantial growth in Ann Arbor and the company’s 2006 geographic expansion into the Front Range of Colorado. Rob’s keen understanding of market dynamics and capital structure, combined with his focused and disciplined approach, have established MAVD as a market leader in both Michigan and Colorado. Under Rob’s leadership, MAVD has acquired and developed projects representing more than 3 million square feet of office space, and 1,000 acres of land, valued at more than $1 billion.
Before joining MAVD in 1995, Rob held senior management positions with GE Capital and Balcor/American Express, and with private investment bankers, in New York, Chicago, and Detroit. Rob has also served as Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Michigan where he taught graduate-level courses in real estate finance.
Rob earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of Literature Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
