I got to know Bob when we were interested in a house he was listing. I was quite impressed with his knowledge and consideration of our interests as buyers instead of trying to talk us into buying the apartment he was listing. So I decided to have Bob as our agent. It was our first time to buy an apartment in NYC. Bob was very much on top of everything. He was efficient, and his negotiation skills are also superb. He always tried to calm us down when we were most stressful, especially when we were eager to determine the price and when in the end, there was a UCC case which could potentially slow the closing dramatically. He assured us that the UCC issue was easy to resolve based on his knowledge and previous working experience. He not only got us through every step of the way despite of some frustrations with the UCC but also negotiated to get the price we had hoped for and helped to make the closing happen according to our expected timeline. We closed right before Thanksgiving! We highly recommend Bob if you look for a buyer's agent.

People say brokers are "a dime a dozen." After going through the co-op process in NYC, I strongly disagree with that.

Bob impressed us right away during our tours. He called out many nuances and complexities in NYC buildings that my wife and I had not considered. He can spot all the red flags and we never felt he was trying to pressure or sell us on any of the places we visited.

Once we had an accepted offer, the process was long, frustrating, and involved numerous stakeholders that were difficult to communicate with. Throughout the process, Bob was our advisor we could always count on. He is consistently honest, straightforward, and grounded in reality. He helped us negotiate our co-op well under ask, expedite our application by going through it with an incredible eye for detail, and made sure we were prepared for all steps of the process. We cannot recommend Bob enough

Working with Bob was hands down the best decision my husband and I made during our home-buying process. Buying a co-op in New York City is not for the faint of heart, and as first-time buyers, we needed a lot of guidance. Bob was there for us every step of the way - he was incredibly responsive over text and email, and always ready to walk us through each part of the process. Whenever we needed anything, we never hesitated to call him.
Our experience wasn’t easy - we went through negotiations on multiple apartments, dealt with management company challenges, and even had to resolve an open electrical permit issue. Through it all, Bob was our trusted source of knowledge and calm. Whenever things got stressful, we’d remind ourselves, “At least we have Bob.”
We truly can’t recommend Bob enough. He’s professional, responsive, and genuinely cares about his clients. We really feel like we hit the jackpot with him.

With Bob Bonhage as your real estate agent,
finding the perfect place in the city that never sleeps definitely won’t keep you up at night.

I couldn’t have picked a better agent to help me buy my first place. We talked through my locations, set realistic expectations and then he gave me a bunch of places to look at. He let me look at my own pace and I never felt pressured .

Once I found my perfect place, he got my offer accepted, helped me prepare the perfect application and was on my side through the entire closing process.

He always said he was there for me and he always was. I highly recommend him and no one will ever be disappointed with the high quality of service Bob provides.
