He coordinated the difficult task of getting the property ready for sale; he waited in the apartment for delivery people since I live out of state; he met with the management office to resolve issues for me even though he did not have to do it. We recently sold our cooperative apartment using Shares of New York as our real estate broker. They were supportive and professional. They had a professional photographer take photos, they created a listing, and they quickly held an open house which was well attended. We received a very acceptable offer right away. Then, they helped us and worked with our attorney through all the details and steps proceeding to a closing - which is more involved for a cooperative apartment proprietary lease.

If you are seeking a caring, understanding, professional realtor then you are looking at the right place. From the moment we met Bob, we truly knew that we chose someone who cares about the sale of our home as much as we do. His experience always put us at ease throughout our sale. Shares of New York were great. We had used them when we bought the apartment and knew we would use them to sell. Bobby gave us great advise as to when was best time to list and how much to list our apartment. As a result, we sold for more than we had expected. Marsha is amazing. She helped us with everything from getting a house cleaner to painters, etc. She was always available whenever we needed her. She always let us know when there were open houses and the results after each. Thank you very much.

Bobby and Marsha were absolutely wonderful. Always available for showings, responsive at ALL times, and most importantly they gave us excellent advice to guide us to an outcome with which we were EXTREMELY PLEASED to say the very least! They had clear directions and videos at the ready to give us input before we did showings and also before our final walkthrough. I would undoubtably recommend them to anyone - we happened to be selling but they also were helpful on our purchase side as well. All in all two thumbs up and 5 stars for Shares of New York - if the scale went higher then I would too!

Writing a review for Bobby Gellert of Shares of New York was very difficult because he is exceptional in so many ways. Keeping it brief, therefore, was a challenge. So here goes. Selling one’s home can produce a lot of anxiety, but Bobby’s professionalism, obvious confidence, genuine caring for his clients, superb communication throughout the process, and a winning personality that makes you feel as though your home is the only one he is helping to sell made our experience anything but an anxious one. It was a pleasure. Having worked with hundreds of people during my career (last as Deputy Commissioner of the NYS Department of Social Services), I’ve had thousands of opportunities to reflect on the qualities of my staff and of so many others. I told Bobby once that his skills would be valuable and an asset in any setting and that I would relish having had him on my staff to help accomplish a difficult inter-agency goal or indeed be a staff member under him. He is that good! With regard to his brokerage skills, it is hard for me to imagine anyone better. His knowledge of the market, advice on presentation of our home, pricing of the home, and aggressive and thorough marketing led to an offer at the second open house! I can’t imagine it gets any better than that. So go ahead meet Bobby Gellert and enjoy accomplishing your real estate goal!
