Romaine was born and raised on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a degree in business and marketing, she spent time traveling in the US and abroad, lived in San Diego, CA, Breckenridge CO, and spent many years living on St. Thomas & St. John, US Virgin Islands before finally settling in the Hamptons 18 years ago.
Prior to becoming involved in real estate, Romaine was an owner/partner in a decorating & design firm with a home base in Bridgehampton NY and worked on projects up and down the East Coast. The company participated in multiple Hamptons showhouses as well as a showhouse in Greenwich, CT where her own line of custom designed fabrics were featured.
Having designed and served as general contractor for her own East Hampton home as well as having worked with architects, builders and tradespeople during the design and construction phase of her clients' projects, Romaine is highly knowledgeable of building new or renovating older homes process in the Hamptons.
Because the nature of her decorating & design business allowed her to be involved in all aspects of a project from concept to completion, from helping to design floor and electrical plans to choosing paint colors, hardware, faucets, fixtures, granite, tiles, furniture and fabrics, Romaine now boasts a vast wealth of knowledge and expertise acquired through time and experience. As a direct result, she now possesses the invaluable skill of being adept at helping others to envision the potential in any property that they may be considering.
Working tirelessly on behalf of her customers, both buyers and sellers, Romaine is a multitasker with a strong work ethic who pays attention to even the smallest of details, and has become an agent who has earned both trust and respect.
