Russell Yoder

Russell Yoder is a lifelong resident of Wayland, Iowa, and grew up on a turkey farm, having been involved with raising turkeys his entire life. After graduating from WACO high school in 1994, he took a few detours before graduating from the American Institute of Business in 1999. That same year, he purchased his first turkey farm and has been living his dream ever since.

Russell is married to his wife Becky and together they have six children and two granddaughters. They keep busy with family activities, school functions, and community organizations. He is a life-long member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, a 21-year veteran of the Wayland Fire Department, an 18-year member of the Lions Club, and has served as treasurer of the Wayland 4th of July Celebration Committee for 18 years. Russell has also been involved in many successful community fundraising projects.

For the past 12 years, Russell has had the privilege of serving on the Iowa Turkey Federation Board, where he served as President in 2017 and 2018. One of the highlights of his tenure was being able to attend the National Convention and do the Turkey Pardoning with his family and Governor Kim Reynolds and her family at the Governor’s mansion.
