Samantha Johnson aka “The Melanin Agent” and former Managing Partner of Synergy Properties Group has worked in the real estate industry servicing the DC, MD, and VA area after having an amazing experience purchasing her first home. She is a proud Prince George’s County lifelong resident and a graduate from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
Prior to Samantha’s real estate career, she was the Managing Partner of Dream Plumbing Services for five years which assisted with residential and commercial plumbing needs. Her role was to maintain the operations of the company, obtaining minority certifications and bidding on local government contracts. Samantha’s biggest accomplishment was winning a three-year multimillion-dollar contract as a subcontractor to renovate the restrooms for 25 local schools. Being in multiple rooms of people that did not look like her, helped create the confidence needed to be a successful real estate agent.
In 2018, Samantha started her real estate career as a dual agent but decided after one year to take a leap of faith in becoming full time after accomplishing some personal, professional, and financial goals while juggling two careers. During her time as a solo agent, Samantha achieved accomplishments that included receiving the Prince George’s County Association of Realtors 2018 Bronze Award, 2019 Silver Award, 2020 Gold Award and Keller Williams Preferred Properties 2019 Rising Star Award.
Fast forward to 2020, Samantha understood that to create the lasting impact she desires for her community, two powerhouses were better than one and partnered with Rukaiyah Tyler to establish Synergy Properties Group. During their first year as a team, they were recognized as the #1 team at KWPP, #2 team for Keller Williams MD/DC region and #8 team for PGCAR.
Whether as a solo agent or being a part of a team, Samantha understands that none of this is possible without the amazing clients that she services on a daily basis. From day one, Samantha has sought to provide the highest possible standards of service and a thorough, analytic approach to every client’s real estate needs. She became a real estate agent to do work that matters, is meaningful, impactful, and helps others. When Samantha is not helping clients with their real estate goals, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
