As a commercial real estate professional, Sandra De Leon combines her background in buying and selling real estate with her experiences as a community advocate coordinating at the municipal level to help clients evaluate prospective real estate assets. She specializes in land acquisition and the evaluation of land and zoning issues and other factors that may affect the value of a property and its development.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Sandra moved to Austin to attend the Institute of Latin American Studies at the University of Texas, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and Political Science. Having spent over 25 years in Austin she has seen the modest college town transform into one of the most desirable places to live and do business in the country. It is this transformation of a small city, building new and expanding, the opportunities for growth and being involved in the process of establishing communities, which inspires her work in real estate. She seeks to bring an important level of integrity and quality to her relationships while striving for outcomes that benefit everyone in the transaction.
She considers herself an urban community advocate and is a member of the Downtown Austin Neighborhood Association Policy Committee. She has previously served on the board of the Rainey Neighbors Association in the Rainey District, downtown’s most dense and rapidly growing neighborhood. She collaborates with Community First Village! a community providing permanent housing for those who experience chronic homelessness. She also spends time collaborating with a non-profit she created that supports extracurricular programs for students at a local high school.
She is a member of the Leading-Edge Society with Berkshire Hathaway Texas Realty, an award for those who have achieved outstanding production, and a member of the Chairman’s Circle, a national award for those who have produced volume in the top 2% of the nationwide network within the company. She is also a member of the Realtors Land Institute and currently becoming an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC).
Sandra lives in downtown Austin with her family and two dogs. She enjoys being outdoors and the many rewards of living an urban lifestyle in the city’s center.
