Sarah Jennings

A native of Germantown, Maryland, Sarah Jennings, graduated from NC State University with a degree in Marketing and Communications. Following graduation in 2002, Sarah entered the intense world of corporate events in Washington, DC with the powerhouse catering company, Design Cuisine, where she executed catering events ranging from small luncheons to large 3,500+ person galas serving celebrities, dignitaries and Presidents of the United States.

Following her time with Design Cuisine, Sarah started a marketing consulting company helping small businesses promote and market themselves. The world of events eventually drew her back, and she took the job as the Director of Catering for the Smithsonian museums at Restaurant Associates. After many years in Washington, the mountains were calling, and Sarah and her family moved to Cashiers so she could be the guardian of marketing and events at Lonesome Valley, her husband’s family’s development, and they could raise their young family here.

During the pandemic, when most events were put on hold, Sarah decided to move out of the shadows of marketing for real estate to the selling side. She cut her teeth at Lonesome Valley before starting a firm and becoming a partner in Cashiers Valley Real Estate. Sarah takes pride in being involved in the community and has been on the boards of the Jackson County Tourism Development Authority, Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce, Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau, Cashiers Valley Preschool and the Summit Charter School Foundation where she currently serves as the board chair.
