Sarena is an absolute ROCKSTAR! As a Transaction Coordinator, I have worked with Sarena behind the scenes and get to see her work her magic. She is precise and on point when it comes to contracts and details. She genuinely cares about her clients and is consistently looking out for their best interest and it shows in the relationships that she builds with them. I highly recommend Sarena if you are looking to buy or sell in San Diego!

Sarena was great. We developed a relationship with Sarena, based on mutual trust and commitment. She told us of her real estate experience in San Diego County and how first time buyers and military families were her focus. She grew up locally in La Mesa. We lived and owned a home in Vista and wanted to buy a condo for our daughter, who would be attending SDSU and needed affordable housing. Sarena immediately started sending property listings via the Compass app and suggesting good areas to find properties in our price range and other search criteria.
At the time, the real estate market was tough. Each property for sale had multiple offers, usually over asking price. We often had no time to think before we had to make an offer. Many times, we were priced out or were too slow to act. It was a very frustrating time. Home prices were on the rise and supply was low. Despite the conditions, she was persistent and kept a positive attitude, continuing to find us properties to consider. We looked at A LOT of properties and got to explore many parts of San Diego County. Many times, our focus shifted from wanting a 2-bedroom to a 3-bedroom condo to a single-family home, from the SDSU area to North Park to North County, from $400K to 700K. It was quite a roller coaster ride, starting in March and ending in November. Through it all, she continued to accommodate our changing priorities. She was very responsive via text, phone calls, email, and through the Compass app, quickly replying to our queries. She organized showings and arranged appointments.
There was A LOT of paperwork, for which she patiently answered many questions and concerns, offering clarification and specific details. She negotiated the terms to allow us to remove inspection contingencies, a major hurdle in our buying process. After our first escrow ended with no deal, she credited us the cost of the inspection as a consolation, which we took advantage of for the second escrow opening. She connected us with lenders and home inspectors and offered contacts for other services, like plumbing and HVAC contractors.
In addition to Sarena, we worked with her team. Three additional team agents, Taylor, Bailey, and Isaac, assisted us with showings. In addition, senior partners, Lyle and Grace Caddell, oversaw overall transactions. With this team, each step of the real estate buying process was smoothly and efficiently completed, via phone calls/text, emails and electronic signing (DocuSign). While in escrow, we had a dedicated team member, Felisa Soto, who coordinated escrow details and disclosure documents.
At the close of escrow, we were greeted with champagne, wine and chocolates, and a lovely housewarming gift of beautiful orchids. We felt rewarded for purchasing our property, but we should have been rewarding Sarena and her team for their persistence and patience in successfully navigating the challenging San Diego real estate market and making it possible for us to purchase our condo.

Sarena was the best realtor I could’ve asked for to help us in the search for our first home! She was so knowledgeable and attentive to our needs, always willing to answer our seemingly endless questions as first time home buyers! We started the search for a home with a smaller budget in regards to CA homes but she wasn’t afraid to take us on as clients and put in the work to show us upwards of 50 homes and made countless offers before we found the right one. I cannot thank her enough and look forward to working with her in the future!
