"And because Escondido is like a smaller version of San Diego, people have migrated here to enjoy a more affordable home in a simpler, more entry-level neighborhood — while still being only a couple miles from all the fun along Grand Avenue in downtown Escondido." Condos range from $350,000 to $500,000, and townhouses from $450,000 to around $600,000, depending on condition and size. Midway's streets have sidewalks lined by a mix of pastel stucco and siding ranch-style homes priced between $700,000 and $900,000. Larger single-story and two-story elegant Mediterranean-style homes with backyard pools and creative landscaping can fetch between $1 million and $1.25 million.
