About Scott
Scott was elected to this office in 2009. Scott’s been a Realtor® since 1990. He is an Associate Broker and holds the “GRI” designation (Graduate of the Realtor® Institute) from the National Association of Realtors®. An active volunteer for the Ada County Association of Realtors® (ACAR) since 1990, he’ served on virtually every committee of the Association. For his long time service and dedication he was selected as ACAR’S “Realtor® Of The Year” for 2005!
He’s also a recipient of the Ada County Association of Realtors® “Distinguished Service Award” and member of Ada County’s and the Idaho Association of Realtors® “Honor Society”.
Scott’s an active volunteer on the Idaho Association of Realtors® (IAR) and has chaired the state Legislative Committee and Convention Committee.
An ardent supporter of the “Realtors® Political Action Committee” (RPAC) since he became a Realtor® (and a licensed “gemologist” in his former life) , Scott is a major part of State RPAC Committee’s annual (and most successful) fund raising events, “Diamond In A Glass”.
Scott’s been elected to serve as a State Director for the Idaho Association of Realtors® two different times and in 2005 began serving his 2nd term. He’s also one of the Directors of the Ada County Association of Realtors® and chairman of the ACAR’S Political Affairs Committee.
He was first elected to the “Intermountain Regional Multiple Listing Service” (IMLS) board of directors in 1993. In his 6+ years of service he served as chairman of the multiple listing service board twice. His keen interest in technology related to the real estate industry led to his appointment by the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) to a special task force on national internet marketing of real estate.
On the community level, Scott has worked on “Paint The Town” (an annual community volunteer program that paints & fixes up houses for older & fixed-income homeowners who can’t afford to maintain their homes as they’d like to) every year since becoming a Realtor®. In fact, his children have joined him and his wife the past several years. Busy as he is, Scott still finds time to volunteer at his children’s schools and their active sports programs. During the season, you can often find him “on the ice” playing adult ice hockey with the rest of the “over 30” crowd!
