We were very pleased with, and genuinely grateful for, the service provided by Scott Paisley of The Paisley Team in selling our home in Greenport.
We had debated selling for some time and were unsure as to what to do; but after discussing our options with Scott, we felt it was the right time to sell. Happily, he oversaw everything for us throughout the process from marketing all the way through closing. He worked closely with us and always kept us informed as to each step of the process and the progress being made.
From finding potential buyers right through closing Scott effectively communicated with us and all the parties involved. He has an impressive understanding of the market in our area, which enabled us to get a deal that exceeded our expectations.
At each step of the process Scott displayed his expertise and professionalism. He was always easy to deal with, answered all our questions with thorough explanations, and provided frequent updates ensuring we were always fully up to date. His working relationship with all parties involved (i.e., buyer, lawyers, bank, etc.) was laudable as he was always amicable and extremely professional.
We are so glad we chose The Paisley Team. Scott’s knowledge, patient approach, diligence, and oversight throughout made what we anticipated to be a stressful event both smooth and ultimately a great success.
We highly recommend Scott Paisley to anyone looking for exceptional real estate services.

I just sold my house last week and felt compelled to write about my experience. Scott Paisley was recommended to me by my trusted attorney who’s been to several closings over recent years with Scott. As a first-time home seller, I was nervous and had many questions in this uncertain market. Long story short: I feel I got great advice on how to price my home and I was very happy with the final sale price which was over-asking. And when obstacles arose, as they always do in these things, Scott and his Signature team handled it quickly and efficiently.
I’ll point out three key decisions that Scott helped me with that I feel, in retrospect, were crucial in getting the price I wanted.
First, I was thinking of listing the house in May and Scott pushed me to consider listing it a month earlier in April. At the time I did not see the importance of this since I felt that May gave prospective buyers plenty of time to move in over the summer and get their kids situated for school in the Fall. It turns out that many other homes in Smithtown were listed in late May whereas I did not have that competition in mid-April. That was a crucial piece of advice that I would have missed had it not been for Scott’s experience. Scott arranged to have pictures taken quickly, wrote a wonderful narrative for the listing which highlighted all the features of the house, and moved up the open house for the first available weekend. I was skeptical that this could all be done in a matter of a few weeks but the turnout was fantastic and serious bidders asked to see the house in private showings the very next day (Monday) where they brought along kids and spouses. A brief bidding war ensued and I was very happy with the result!
Second, my house was built in 1999 and was well-maintained over the years. But, as with any 25 year old home, I had a list of improvements large and small that I was considering before selling it. Scott reviewed my list and advised me on what was worth improving and what to “let be”. His judgment saved me money and effort at a time when both were in short supply! Not to mention I had peace of mind as I was clearly “overthinking” the situation, being too close to it.
Lastly, Scott did a thorough market analysis and encouraged me to list the house initially for more than I would have on my own. I really appreciate that he was advocating for me and potentially making his own job harder with a higher list price. I am more conservative by nature and just wanted to sell it. Scott was confident that we could do better and better we all did. Bravo! I recommend Scott and his team whole-heartedly.
