About Sean
Build relationships. Solve problems. Have fun.
It’s a simple philosophy that I have subscribed to since beginning my career as a full-time Realtor almost 20 years ago. Each day I showed up seeking to build new relationships with people I had never met or deepen relationships with people I had known for years. Once I built a relationship it was easier to earn people’s trust in assisting them with one of the biggest moments in their life - buying or selling a home. Almost every real estate transaction revolves around a problem in someone’s life. Those could be “good problems” like getting married, having a new child or starting a new career. It could also be managing through the “bad problems” people face like a death in the family, divorce or a job loss. Regardless of the circumstances, I knew that helping someone solve their problem was an honorable and worthwhile task. And doesn’t having fun along the way just help make it more enjoyable for everyone involved?
It’s more than great service for me. It’s about creating and delivering a memorable experience.
Build relationships. Solve problems. Have fun.
The same six words helped guide me in my approach as a branch manager when I helped agents and their customers navigate through their individual transactions and built a culture of sharing and support in the office community of successful agents. After finding a passion for the training and coaching side of the job I became the Director of Agent Development for our companies in Central Ohio and Greater Cincinnati and have been in that role since 2005.
That platform allowed me to reach a bigger audience and since 2007 I have been a national speaker and event facilitator at real estate events around the country. I was recognized as one of Inman News Most Influential People in Real Estate in 2013 and in 2016 was named one of the Top 20 Most Influential Social Media voices in the real estate industry by the Swanepoel Report. Whether it is in person in front of an audience or via the social networks, those same 6 words help connect the people to the process and the stories to the success.
Build relationships. Solve problems. Have fun.
Recently I was inspired to return to where I started in this career - working with Buyers and Sellers. I am back in the game as a full-time Realtor. I will also be expanding opportunities to speak to audiences around the country on real estate sales, social media, leadership, business planning and goal setting as well as any topics that help attendees and organizations become better.
If you or someone you know is looking to successfully navigate the sale of a home or manage through the process of a home search and purchase, I invite you to connect with me. We will keep it really simple and get through the process together.
About Me
Born in Billings, Montana, I grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio (just outside Columbus) in the shadows of The Ohio State University where my father taught Landscape Architecture. Seeking warmer weather and an adventure away from home, I attended The University of Florida and earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Careers as a golf professional and beer salesman helped add to my passion as a beer-drinking, sports fan with a good sense of humor.
My high school sweetheart Ronda and I have been married for 23 years. We have two high school children, Riley (12th grade) & Ryan (9th grade), and a yellow Lab named Callie. (Follow her on Twitter @CallieThePuppy). We enjoy vacationing in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina or Southwestern Florida and can usually be found on the golf course or any social media channel if you need us.
When it comes to your real estate needs, remember…Nobody Knows Homes like a Carpenter!
