About Sean
Sean always knew he was capable of more, and found some success in most things he attempted, but he never quite reached the top tier - until he took a chance on a big dream and stayed committed in the most difficult moments. He found out where he belonged.
It was a long road to get there. Sean’s first careers were not even related to real estate. He started in theatre, and it began with a high school play. He worked his way up to master carpenter with a crew, where he met his future wife. But when he realized this career would be difficult to sustain a family, his body ached, and the pay was low, he knew it was time for a change.
At that point, Sean was not pursuing a passion, he was just hunting for any job he could get to pay the bills. One company finally hired him as a temporary worker, fired him on Christmas Eve, then asked him to come back full-time a few weeks later. He worked for them remotely for a while until that company no longer needed his team. He was not sure where the idea of real estate first came from, but it always piqued his interest.
Through conversations with his wife, knowing Sean needed a new job, they thought, “Why am I waiting?” His wife had a friend who was one of the top agents in the state, so they invited him over to dinner and asked him what it was like. His honesty gave Sean a realistic picture that it would not be easy, but he was excited!
To say it was not easy is an understatement! Sean held hundreds of open houses, got a mentor and a coach, took every class, but nothing was bringing in steady business. In one particularly bad week, four deals fell through over the course of as many days. He asked his support system, “What am I doing wrong?” They answered, “Keep going. You’re doing the right things.”
There was no magic moment when everything turned around, but, over time, through consistency and hard work, it got better. Then, it got great. Sean never wants another career. He absolutely loves what he does. Sean loves working with his clients. They often need a guide or an advisor, and he loves to be that for them. Sean learned a lot from his time in theatre. It taught him he is a hard worker, incredibly capable, and a great problem solver. He discovered he is able to have a grasp of the bigger picture that not everyone can see. His communication has become a strong suit when he works with clients.
Sean is not pushy or sales-y. He sees himself as an advisor and is always looking out for his clients’ best interests. He wants them to make decisions they feel confident with, in their own time.
Bringing people home is the best feeling in the world, and Sean hopes to be given the opportunity to do that for you!
