Shane Iwashige

Shane grew up in rural Reno County, KS, the son of a Japanese immigrant father and an Amish-Mennonite mother. His parents' diversity of experience and encouragement to explore and try things provided a solid foundation for both him and his brothers in life and business.

After buying an investment property, Shane discovered he enjoyed real estate, so in 2013, he and his wife began to grow their property management business, Rock Rentals. By mid-2015, they had grown to manage close to 100 properties in and around Hutchinson, up from 4 in mid-2013. As part of Shane’s service to investors, he has been involved in the inspection, negotiation, and purchase of many of those properties. In 2016, he joined the real estate sales team at Coldwell Banker Americana and thrives on providing excellent service and value to his clients.

Shane is currently chair of the Choice Books of Kansas Board of Directors and the national Choice Books LLC Board of Directors. He also serves on the leadership team of Hands of Christ Ministry, his local church's ministry to the underprivileged in Hutchinson, KS.

When Shane is not working in real estate or on the farm, he loves spending time with his wife Dorcas, and their sons Tristan, Carson, and Cedric. He loves their church, Center Amish Mennonite Church, and the reason a church exists-Jesus Christ. Shane’s primary hobby is choral singing, but he also enjoys being outdoors, snowboarding, and traveling.
